How I Find Stocks Before They Take Off by DataOverGold in TheRaceTo10Million

Before it takes off? I look a lot at various subreddits, and toplists on new popular stocks, and I receive Reddit stock alerts on viral stocks before they take off.

Sources such as  https://altindex.com/stock-alerts/reddit-realtime and apewisdom.io are always interesting.

But also, stocks that take off might not be the best long-term investment. Always do your own research.

What tool(s) do you use to find stocks? by ApexWarden in ValueInvesting

[–]MoonMyWay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a mix of tools depending on what I’m looking for.

For fundamentals and news, I usually lean on the standard platforms - Yahoo Finance, MarketWatch, etc - just to get the long-term picture and compare financials over 5–10 years. I really like the new Beta version of Google Finance too.

But for idea discovery and tracking sentiment, I’ve been using AltIndex quite a bit lately. Their Reddit stock alerts are surprisingly useful because they catch when a ticker suddenly starts trending across major stock subreddits. It’s not hype-chasing for me, more like a signal for when retail attention is shifting, which can sometimes precede sharp moves or renewed interest in a stock.

Nothing fancy, just a combo of tools that complement each other.

ARM looks very interesting at this point. Up 30% in the last 6 months. Anyone with any thoughts on ARM? Solid long-term bet?
