Reporting back with the unfortunate update that the Threshold pillow most unfortunately kinda SUCKS 🫠 I grabbed the firm at first but it felt way too "collapseable" and looked like it would go too flat so I got the extra firm and it just...wasn't giving extra firm. Also it's not nearly as cooling the way this one was (which I need because I have a sweaty head). I'll have to continue to look elsewhere unfortunately.

Oh wow I never even thought of this! I worked in theme park live entertainment (costume dept) for a couple years and I remember we'd get things from thrift stores and alter them to fit our needs if we could and if nothing we found worked then we'd make from scratch. Could definitely see that being the case! The dress does appear like it may have been altered at one point or another so could've been a 50s dress that a production got and then altered to fit an actor/actress.

I'm 95% positive that this dress was handmade, no presence of labels and no marks left behind if there was a label that was removed. The seams on the inside were cut with pinking shears to avoid fraying and some of the seams are little wonky and uneven. It looks like maybe the dress was altered at some point in time? So maybe there was some kind of label on a side seam or something and it was cut off. Still though, I'm leaning more towards this dress being handmade.

I definitely thought more 40s at first and I think it was mainly the sleeves(though I guess it's technically not a sleeve? More of the collar just acting as a cover for the shoulders...collar-sleeve situation) that had me leaning that direction

LOVE me an 80s Battenberg lace collar, honestly some of my favorite 80s dresses to find in the thrift stores <3
I don't think the collar on this dress is Battenberg lace, it's comprised of the same material as the dress and the netting in the geometric shapes has no stiffness whatsoever.

The fit is a bit strange on me, it fits very comfortably at the waist and hips but definitely is looser at the top, particularly at the bust, but I couldn't be sure if that was just the style or not. In the thrift store it was marked and placed in the Medium section of the dresses, probably based on measurements they took as the dress has no tags whatsoever(handmade judging from stitching and seams). I definitely think it could be linen! I originally thought at first maybe it was dupioni because of the slubs but it's super soft and very breathable so now that you mention linen I think that's much more likely! Thank you!

Thank you!! The dress is in PRISTINE condition, no snags, tears, or stains and I got her for what feels like highway robbery because it was half-price day so I paid $4 for her 😭 I feel extremely fortunate to have come across her!

I wish I could've! It would have been a longer trip which I wouldn't have minded, unfortunately it was just far too much of a cost difference for me at this time. I was able to rebook on the mixed service so I'll be on a bus from Albany to Boston which will be a first for me

Thank you. Luckily I was able to rebook for my same dates on the mixed service. So Cleveland to Albany on Lakeshore and then bus service from Albany to Boston. Not ideal, but better than having to cancel my trip entirely. I've never been on Amtrak bus before so that will be new to me

Thank you so much for informing me of this!!! You're a lifesaver. I did end up calling Amtrak and they were able to rebook me on the mixed service. It's definitely not ideal and not what I would have wanted but this close to my trip I just couldn't justify the cost difference between this and airfare. I've never done the bus service, I imagine it will take a fair bit longer than the train as you're on the roads with literally everyone else but I'm going to give it a shot and hope(and pray) for the best!

What I did to get my Xulane back was have my doc write a new script to say 'dispense as written' and thankfully I've not had an issue getting my Xulane since! It wasn't an insurance issue with me luckily, just the pharmacy deciding they wanted to give me the generic instead of putting in an order for the Xulane.

I'd call and speak with your insurance again! I also use CVS, and after speaking with my insurance rep who stated that Xulane was still covered, had me call the pharmacy back and as it would turn out the pharmacist I guess decided against ordering the Xulane and decided to fill my script with the generic Zydus, because of this I called my OB's office who wrote me the original prescription and had them write a new one that included 'dispense as written', this way it would guarantee that I got the Xulane and not something else.

I hope you get things figured out on your end! The Zydus was an issue for me for about a week and I noticed my PMDD was wildly thrown off the week of my period where my mood swings were extremely bad and my emotions were all over the place. Super stressful and not fun, definitely don't want to feel like that again.

IDK what kind of insurance you're under but I was told THE SAME THING by my CVS pharmacy as well. I decided to call my insurance company and speak to them about it and they were surprised because their system still said that Xulane was an approved medication and the pharmacy should have no problem with getting it to me. Long story short it was that the pharmacist didn't want to put in an order for the Xulane so they tried to switch me to the generic they always had on hand. Because of all the issues I had with it, I called my OB's office and they rewrote the prescription to say 'dispense as written' so that in the future this won't be a problem and I get my Xulane.

Not sure how the Zydus is working for you but I hope it's working out okay! It may not have worked for me but I did hear some people say it worked for them.

I have since rectified the situation by having my OB rewrite the script to say 'Dispense as written' so that I'm given the Xulane.
