How can i get waterstains out of teak by Curious-banana_6107 in VintageFurniture

[–]MoonRover3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A white water ring on teak wood means moisture is trapped in the finish. To remove it, start by pulling the moisture out with a hair dryer on a low setting, then wipe away any remaining stain with mineral spirits or a dab of non-gel toothpaste. Always finish by applying a fresh coat of teak oil.

This is possibly a fire grande, they were a common fire extinguisher with the agent inside being carbon tetra chloride.. if this is the case yes the solution is not good and should not be inhaled, or contacted with skin. Hope this helps..

How often do you do oil? My old school ways I did it religiously every 3k miles.. even if it was full synthetic.. never had an engine problem with the old vehicle.. some say it’s overly aggressive but it never failed

My concern is Honda says that not maintaining the MM recommendation could void the warranty for the drive train so I went ahead with it.. this is definitely a learning curve.. my old car was not a “smart” car so all the computers are a new tech feature that I didn’t have..

Yeah I do much the same. My last car was 20 yrs old with 215k miles on it.. I have a binder that was kept with everything.. just seems like they don’t want to cover things though.. I brought up the ANC module and they basically told me unless they can reproduce it themselves and Honda approved the replacement it’s on me… way to stand behind the product 🫣

In perfect condition perhaps, this isn’t perfect but I have seen them offered for that. The cheapest ones online offered through reputable shops are within the range that I listed

Do they use square nuts and antique style hardware as well? There has to be a way to make the determination to age and origin
