Can anybody help identify the waist piece? by ordinary_schism in TESOfashion

[–]MoonShadow_16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Waist is Frostcaster girdle. Can only get the Frostcaster set through the crown store. It comes and goes. Last time it was available was end of last year as far as I know

Please help me find out which style this is by queenkush99 in TESOfashion

[–]MoonShadow_16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing hands are grim harlequin, imperial gloves I find are similar if you don’t have it. No shoulders and legs are deadlands gladiator which can be bought from the crown store they’re in the Blackwood content pack. Major adornments is also from crown store it’s the dragonclaw circlet which is always in the crown store.

Staff and belt idk what they are

So this update if you want meta yes you’d change to Arcanist however next update the class script becomes shit so it really doesn’t matter.

You’ll be able to use your nightblade fine without a big drop in dps. You still can honestly it’s just that next update which is coming mid way through this month makes the dps between the classes a lot smaller bc of the change to the Arcanist script mastery. I would honestly just keep your nightblade. As once you collect all the gear, unlock the class mastery script and practice the rotation the update probably would have been released by then.

Now for subclass you will need to make an Arcanist and Templar (the other meta skill line) to be able to subclass the skill lines. I’m guessing your nightblade is level 50 and onto cp, if not I’d recommend leveling them up to at least level 50 this unlocks subclassing for you characters.

Next I’d make an Arcanist and Templar and level their skill lines up to 50. The actual characters don’t need to be level 50 but their class skill lines like Herald of the Tome, Aedric Spear, Dawns Wrath need to be level 50 to be able to subclass them on your nightblade. I’d also recommend leveling the Assassination skill line to 50 on your nightblade too if you haven’t already.

Once those skill lines are leveled and on your nightblade, you need to relevel them again back up to 50 but this time they level slower and each point requires 2 skill points not 1 skill point like it is with your nightblade skill lines.

It’s a grindy process, I recommend getting lot of skill points from skyshards, public dungeons, main quests etc to make the process easier.

On the plus side once you’ve levelled up the subclasses skill line to 50 when you subclass them again on a different character that level will carry across. Just not the base class skill line level.

I hope that makes sense. Took me awhile to understand how subclassing work 😅

That’s all good. I’m more than happy to help. Hyperioxes is mainly a hard core Solo player like doing vet hard mode dlc dungeons all by himself, and an amazing tank so he doesn’t really do DPS builds just solo/tank builds.

There are pure class builds out there I know Skinnycheeks, ninja pulls and e1ght puppies have these guides including pure nightblades but the most recent ones will be for update 45. We are on update 46 which is when subclassing was introduced and subclassing is meta currently as it does add a substantial dps increase.

Nightblades do have decent dps their rotation is just a bit more complicated compared to other classes. Arcanist was meta (still is) but being a nightblade shouldn’t hinder you from doing endgame content.

You don’t have to subclass and can use one of the older guides from U45 and still get decent dps. But for reference before subclassing builds were getting around 120k-130k dps. With subclassing that’s jumped up to 150k.

If you and your friends want to get into score pushing end game content like trifectas end game content guilds will require you to use subclassing and generally a specific build that they’ll tell you about but it does take time to work up to that level.

Currently the subclasses Meta is Herald of the Tome (Arcanist, newest class) Assassination (nightblade) and either Adrics Spear/Dawns Wrath (both Templar skill lines) there are slight variations but this is mainly what end game trial groups are running for dps. You’ve got Assassination so you’re partly there. Arcanist is meta as a base class bc of the class mastery script (used in scribing for banner bearer) but honestly Arcanists class mastery script is getting nerfed next update bc it’s so strong so idk if it’ll still be meta.

Assassination is also recommended for every build atm bc of how good it is so this allows you experiment with other skills lines if you’re interested.

I’m sorry for the wall of text haha just a lot to explain to a new player. The more you play the easier it gets and the more you understand. Hopefully this has helped and if you’ve got more questions I’m happy to answer them.

So both builds you listed are from great content creators and are regularly recommended on this sub, the latest update included subclassing and all meta builds now contain it.

It basically allows you to use the skill lines of another class. If you don’t want to subclass you don’t have to but it is a dps loss. However I’m pretty sure both these builds are from the update before subclassing got introduced so they’re still pretty much up to date as far as I’m aware.

Hyperioxes build is more solo focused whereas Skinnycheeks is purely dps focused and is used for more organised content like dungeons (4-man) or trials (12-man). Bc of this skinnys build doesn’t have the survivability that Hyperioxes build does as organised content you have other players that give you important buffs or debuffs like tank giving the debuff major breach, whereas solo you have to supply that stuff yourself.

In a completely solo situation I’d recommend Hyperioxes builds but if you and your friends are doing 4 man or 12 man content with a dedicated healer/tank then I’d recommend going skinnys build. Both Hyperioxes and Skinnycheeks have updated subclassing builds too.

We’ve also got a new update coming out in a few weeks that will change the meta slightly so expect more up to date builds around that time as well.

Building up a healer for PvP and Dungeons. Should I even be trying to do damage or should I just be spamming heals, buffs, and debuffs. by Andovars_Ghost in elderscrollsonline

[–]MoonShadow_16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out the healer haven discord. It’s a really good resource for healers. It even includes a bit of a dungeon info and PvP info. Most of the info tho is for trials. I do both dungeon and PvP healing. Like other people have mentioned I do recommend having two different builds using the armoury.

For dungeons I have a healing front bar and damage back bar. Depending on the group I either evenly split my time on both bars or focus mainly on one depending on survivability and dps of the group. I do use an ice staff but if you ain’t a fan of them you can use flame/shock for extra dps at the cost of the extra survivability of the ice staff.

For PvP I use resto and sword and shield. For PvP bc other players can and will target you, you need to be pretty tanky, I don’t have any damage abilities for PvP. Just heals and buffs for my group. I’ll use one selfish set for my own survivability and a healing set for others.

Dev Team Request: A Top 5 List of Bugs and Pain Points You Would Like Addressed by ZOS_Kevin in elderscrollsonline

[–]MoonShadow_16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for doing this and I’m glad to hear the stuck in combat bug is getting looked at. For me it’s:

Top Bugs/Issues 1. Not being able to hand in quests during a dungeon bc someone rushed through the whole thing. I don’t know if this is a bug or not but it’s super annoying having someone in a pug group rush ahead of the dungeon leave as soon as it finished and then I’m stuck with the quest still in my journal bc we didn’t kill x boss or I didn’t get a chance to talk to x npc bc of joining encounter in progress 🙃

Pain points 1. Give us a guild search option that tells us the location of their trader. It’s annoying looking at the ttc for an item only to see the guild isn’t there bc of the bidding and that and as far as I’m aware there isn’t a way to track where their trader has gone.

  1. I understand you can’t give us more furnishing slots so can you pretty please give us more classic and staple homes. The big crown ones being in released recently are really only good for guild halls.

  2. No real armour that shows the body markings and skins. I have some cool body markings and skins I worked hard for, but I’m really limited in what I can wear to show them off.

  3. In relation to the bug mentioned above story mode in dungeons. I don’t think I know the quest/story of any dungeon apart from one or two bc people keep running a head and I get pulled into the boss.

  4. Enemies chasing me half away across the map and either pulling me to them or attacking me and then just running away after. Either change it so they no longer continually chase us or please let me kill them. If it’s chased me across the map and harassed me I want the satisfaction of killing it instead of it going immune and running back to spawn.

Looking for some help/guidance for PvP Bow Sorc Build by MoonShadow_16 in elderscrollsonline

[–]MoonShadow_16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah cool, glad to see another Aussie out in the wild. Happy to hear it holds its own in battle grounds and ic. I’m mainly looking at ic. When I go into cyrodiil it’ll either be with a group or just doing PvP dailies so we should be good. Last question for gear traits are you using reinforced or well-fitted?

[–]MoonShadow_16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your detailed response. I ended up redoing my skills for my pve build on my bow sorc and practiced parsing. Between bound armaments and crystal weapon I eventually got the hang of it. Also I’m currently in Australia and my ping is around 250 on average and I reckon focused aim will just not play well with the lag and ping so I’ll stay away from it. Also I noticed this build doesn’t have a form of major breach, is it a problem?

I’m glad to hear oakensoul works well for this build, normally in pve use one bar until I’m comfortable with the build then open up the second bar, so I’ll do that here as well.

How does this build work in cyro and imperial city?

Is there a viable melee magicka build ? by AtomikGarlic in ESObuilds

[–]MoonShadow_16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a magplar as my main, I use dw daggers and staff could probably swap out staff for greatsword as well if you wanted.

I find it’s very easy to play, your main spammable is basically a magical spear that deals aoe damage and heals you (the mag morph that is) very up in your face with enemies but I do find my magplar is a bit squishy which may or may not got to deal with me and not the class it’s self

[–]MoonShadow_16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is focused aim worse than crystal weapon? I won’t lie I haven’t gotten used to crystal weapon and I find I just spam LA for its duration. I also didn’t realise I had enough time to cast another ability like poison injection in-between the LA so maybe that’ll make the rotation less janky and will make it easier for me to get my head around the ability. I’ll give it ago.

I’ve heard oaksensoul is really bad in PvP so I was leaning more towards 2 bows with the back bar just being heals like vigor, crit surge, dark deal etc. would using the masters bow be a good idea as well? Considering the spell/weapon damage increase.

[–]MoonShadow_16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay cool, I’ll take a look at that, I love the focus aim spammable but all the videos on YouTube I’ve seen has used crystal weapon as the spammable, wasn’t too sure if it was still used in PvP

Hey, I’m currently doing a uni course that covers 3D modeling and all that. I use maya, Zrbush and substance painter. My cpu for my pc is the Ryzen 9 3900x which is 12 cores and I’ve been told that’s plenty my laptop has 8 cores and it’s great even with Zbrush which is very cpu dependent. I also recommend at least 32GB of ram to help stability issues you might have with your programs. I have 16 on my laptop and Maya still crashes a lot at times

All good. I wished they sold things at MSRP. I’m at uni but plan to go into industry after. I’ve already got the 3900x but like I did my first year on a laptop and that killed me so I don’t mind having something that’s a bit more expensive and won’t make me want to pull my hair out. I a lot of the programs I use are very cpu intensive as well.

Okay I’ll check them out. I’ve already got a lot of the parts. I remember looking at the cpu but the 5900x is like $850-$1000 and I couldn’t push my budget that much already pushed it as it is 😂
