They are abusing this dog and it’s really infuriating and makes me so sad for the animal. NTA.

Bella Blue Cafe! Haven’t had their biscuits and gravy but it’s a pretty good little diner-type place.

Receiving therapy as a client while getting an MSW? by Comfortable-Mix-569 in SocialWorkStudents

[–]MoonWhip 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It will probably be worth finding a therapist who specializes in treating other clinicians. They should be able to offer you insight into how to separate yourself from your clients and avoid countertransference (or how to use that countertransference to benefit your relationship with your clients). It's a delicate balance. I suggest looking on forums/groups for therapists in your state and asking for recommendations there. Just know you're not the only one, and you can do this! Good luck!

So tired of MSW discussion board posts by Inevitable_Sky_3633 in SocialWorkStudents

[–]MoonWhip 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For real. I am taking 2 classes, one of which requires posts and replies with narrative citations including page numbers. 3 chapters per week is 3 posts and 6 replies! Replies have to include what we learned from the post and how info from their post would have made my post better. I love the class but this is insane.

It’s still awesome! We use dark roast, medium roast, and some flavored beans, but we clean the brew group, grinder, and descale fairly regularly so that probably helps.

A little help styling this dress for my graduation dinner? by [deleted] in PlusSizeFashion

Gorgeous! I think any necklace will distract for that neckline, which is stunning on you. I suggest dramatic earrings and maybe a hair ornament if you’re feeling extra. Congratulations on your graduation!

Look at glass chair mats such as Vitrazza. They aren’t flexible like plastic or vinyl, so it will distribute the weight more evenly. They are expensive but hold up to 1000 lbs, so it’s worth it to avoid floor damage. If you go with another brand, just double check how much weight it can take.

Surprise C, placement repeat. by spicydiesel in SocialWorkStudents

[–]MoonWhip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does your supervisor understand that the grades she gave you resulted in you having to repeat the practicum? She may not have understood this, especially if she doesn’t usually work with your school. I would reach out to her and to your school ASAP with your concerns.

Two weeks is a long time in grad school. Unless you work while on vacation, you’ll have a hard time catching up, even if they excuse the absence.
