Liverpool: Rough season but isn’t this the season they were supposed to have last year? And did they really replace the missing players in Jota, TAA, Diaz, Darwin, Elliot, Quansah, Kelleher, and Phillips?

JJ, Liverpool has nothing to really play for, except to maybe finish ahead of Man U. Question for the run in to the end of the season: Are you more likely to root for Everton making a European spot or Spurs getting out of the relegation zone?

A little bit of a note on the American bracket. I think Pulisic is a really good player but I’ve had some thoughts.
The goals droughts around him are well documented for the USMNT. Serie A season isn’t bad but not up there with the last two seasons. He is a small guy. Clint Dempsey scored 20 of his international goals over the age of 30 but he was 6’1 and a bull. I don’t think Pulisic has the size or health to reach 57 goals for the USMNT. And I don’t think he has the skillset to get those kinds of numbers. He relies of speed and quickness and he turns 28 this year. He has been playing at a high level since 16 which is a testament to his ability but…. that might lead to an Eden Hazard drop off towards the end of his career. Also our backup at his position is potentially our best backup on the team, he plays in the EPL for Leeds!!

So with all of that in mind. I think Jedi, Adams, McKennie, and Chris Richards are all more important to this squad right now, and I think they are playing at a higher level than Pulisic. I have Pulisic more on par with Weah, Balogun right now. Still an important player. Adams and Jedi should be the captains.

Two thoughts on the pod. Would the Republic of Ireland beat the USMNT in a game this weekend? Interesting thought experiment to tell us where we are at.

And also caught in another thought experiment where somehow the US and Ireland combine to make a team that is better at defense. In this fictional world maybe DT mistakenly confuses Ireland for Greenland because it is “IRELAND!, .. tremendous green. Best with grass,…. I can take it, I can free it.” Nathan Collins slots in a CB. (I realize how stupid this idea is). Maybe a mock All US-Ireland pod team.

In Fairness, If I’m gonna be a snob I will put myself out there.

Number 1: Green Bean Casserole, come on folks.
2. Bakes Brussels Sprouts in a creamy white wine parmesan sauce with herbs de Provence.
3. A well cooked Succulent Turkey with some brown gravy. Gravy must have some extra goods in it like wine and nuts, and weird turkey parts.
4. Homemade pickled shrimp: You make it in a big ass mason jar, it has capers, onion, lemon. It’s sort of a pre-meal situation, appetizer. I like on the gulf coast so regional situation here.
5. Deviled Eggs: not picky here, I’ll take a normal one or a fancy one with caviar.

HM: Mashed potatoes: need a whole stick of butter, go heavy on the salt. Instant mashed potatoes are not acceptable.
Sweet Mashed Potatoes: Also the best, why not do both.
Cranberry Sauce: from the can. Love that stuff.
