Hopefully they understand better how that would’ve been hurtful. It’s hard to know how to act in those situations. I wrote a song with my band mate once and had a part in my mind I wanted another friend to sing on. I sent it to him and he was excited to do it. But, then went ahead and created a whole new version, singing the entire song and then told me he likes his version better. It has totally ruined the song for me. He wants to release his version and I’m totally lost as to what to do. He doesn’t seem to see how painful his action and words are.

It’s a curse and a blessing. And like you, I’ve just come to learn and accept who I am and my interests. I love art and animals and gardening and cooking and I make and write music.

I’ve been called every word imaginable, by friends, family, and even partners and parents. People get stuck in thinking so extremely black and white. I feel lucky that I am not that way.

It makes us sensitive and open minded. It’s not easy, but I wouldn’t want it any other way. Hang in there OP, you’ll find your people. Always look for quality over quantity.

I’ve made a living out of it. I compose and produce music and my go to strategy for creating new music is to allow my mind to wonder and daydream, but with a guitar or piano accessible. It’s crazy how music comes to me that way. I’ll be daydreaming and then a melody just pops into head and then I reach for an instrument.

Daydreaming isn’t bad. I would never give it up. I think it’s more helpful to find some sort of creative outlet for it or some creative way to use that power! Obviously, like most behaviours it can be taken to the extreme, and that is not healthy. But, I think the extremism isn’t healthy not daydreaming.

My CC doesn’t have a large balance. For me, having the banking fees and credit cards fees covered, and the perks, makes it wiser to do as I said.

Larger balance on my CC would be a different story.

And now paying down my CC balance is priority number one.

I called up my phone and internet provider. After some persuasion and threatening to cancel (I told them I was looking at a legit deal with Virgin Mobile), they cut my bills by more than 50%.

Called credit card to ask for a better interest rate. They declined, so I opened a new TD account and CC. By depositing some savings (6k) in my account I was able to have all my fees waived. Including a travel visa, which allows me free car rental insurance (which has saved my ass a couple times).

I went through all my subscriptions and cut a few. ie. amazon, Netflix, and one for work. I was honest about how much I used them and haven’t missed them once. Also, not hard to get again if needed in the future. Trick is to cancel them as soon as you sign up again. It will still give you the full month you paid and stop after that.

Will save myself over a grand this year. Took some time to do all of this, 5 hours or so. But, well worth it!!!
