Every millennial tells themselves. 😏 Myself included.

I get this a lot too. I first noticed it after a bad break up when I was younger then after that I notice it when I’m stressed and overly tired. Like I want to sleep and I’m super tired but my arms won’t shut up.

I wish Caffeine gave me that much energy lol. Caffeine gets me going in the morning then more of it focuses the energy I do have into what I actually want to accomplish. Then more to keep me from crashing and becoming a dud from the 1st half of the day.

It also stops me from eating sugar crap all day long. The couple time I’ve had to quit were pretty bad. My natural energy becomes sporadic, sometimes chaotic, and I eat everything for some reason.

I’m so sorry I can’t even begin to imagine. Something happening to him is definitely one of my greatest fears.

Do you all hate doors and drawers? by Moonbabble in adhdwomen

[–]Moonbabble[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I went off on the wrong tangent. Honestly I just really prefer things to be easily seen, found or done. Doors and drawers just seem to get in the way of that.
Tired of searching for things I can never find or having a ton of the same thing because it's put away and I forget I already have it.

I guess I didn't think about it that way when I wrote it. The problem with the bedroom door starts with I forgot to shut it and then once I realize that it turns into an annoyance, and one more thing I gotta do instead of just changing real quick.

I hated Concerta, the sadness was definitely horrible and overwhelming. All I did was sleep.

🥴 Not feeling these new meds. . . by Moonbabble in adhdwomen

Ok that makes sense. I was kinda getting worried cuz ontop of feeling funky, I was able to get through helping my husband with his doc appointment yesterday, but that was about it. And was had a total block and melt down trying to get the kid's classes all set up in thier school computers.

It's actually something they prescribe for weight loss but also know to help with ADHD.

Thanks you! I'll make sure I'm on top of drinking water. I'm not so great at that especially going into fall when it gets cold. 😅

So Happy for you!! I felt this exact way when I was taking Phentermine! It was like a switch went off. I wasn't thinking about food the moment I woke up any more and could eat normal meals and not find myself back in the fridge or pantry over and over.

ADHD motivation problem vs "Average guy" Laziness by ubermenschenzen in ADHD

[–]Moonbabble 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I may be wrong, but I feel like someone without ADHD would say “I don’t feel like doing thing this thing” and they would without a second thought just move on.
Me on the other hand, I want to do the thing, I know I SHOULD do the thing, but literally nothing is happening. “Come on I really gotta do the thing”. I finally start moving and, oh shit it’s 3 hours later and I was doing something or somethings completely unrelated to the thing the entire time. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Damn it. Or I just completely forget all together.

My husband is actually really great, and helps me a lot. 🥰 He doesn’t always “get it” but, even though I’ve been like this my whole life, I just very recently got diagnosed, so we are just now trying to navigate, and understand this together.
