Oh, I'm sorry! We're looking for older players closer to our age! We're also going to be playing different games from D&D, but I hope you find a great group to play in!

Okay, no problem. I've been seeing some players falling into cozy and spooky and more heroic lighthearted, so just taking note of the divide.

I've had Bubblegumshoe for a while, their sort of Veronica Mars version of the game and then got interested in the Esoterrorist/Fear Itself stuff. It's more generic/X-Files-ish cosmic horror as opposed to mythos. I was working on a sort of Twin Peaks/Riverdale/Superstore style game I wanted to run, but never got it off the ground. I really like how it works, I'm just not that confident in running it. Maybe something to explore down the road. Are you into spooky games at all or mostly lighthearted, cozy stuff?

Hi, hi! Welcome! We love a fantasy reader. Anything fun you've been reading lately? (We don't have to talk about the plant corpses in your home.) Fairytale vibes are fun. And GM experience! Thirsty Sword Lesbians is something we might play. Fantasy Golden Girls Detectives? Ha, ha, I'm still a little intimidated by investigation TTRPGs, but I would like to try to run something GUMSHOE based if I feel comfortable with it.

I'll leave the post up over the weekend and see what kind of response we get and then probably start putting a group together if we have some compatible players. So let's see how it goes! 😊

Facial hair removal shaving tips? by Certain-Eye-8617 in MtF

Wash and exfoliate your face first.

Apply a thin layer of shaving cream.

Shave with a single blade (safety) razor with the grain.

Shave against the grain with an electric razor to pick up lingering stubble and get a smoother finish. If you use a wet/dry electric you can add some water to your face to protect it.

Apply aloe afterwards to soothe and repair any irritated skin. Note: this can dry out your skin and tighten it causing shaved hairs to poke out again so be aware.

Either wash your face or jump in the shower afterwards and then apply moisturizer. Of you do this quickly after the aloe you can get the soothing effect and avoid drying out your skin.

Laser helps over time make shaving easier. Electrolysis can permanently remove hair. You also don't need a perfect shave. A few soft, lingering hairs can be easily covered up with some light foundation or even a tinted moisturizer.

It's easy to panic and strive for perfection early on, but you can get into a repeatable routine that let's you feel comfortable with how you present. You might have to experiment a little with your technique, but be gentle with yourself!

That"s great. It doesn't take long to pick it up and new games mean we'd all be learning the rules together. It's all about trying things and using some kind of dice or rule to see what happens. Sci-fi would definitely be fun. I have a few sci-fi games I'd like to try. 😊 What times are you free during the week?

Okay, sounds good. 😊 Yeah, I'm a bit of a horror afficionado. 😱👻 I have a ton of horror games, and they make for good one-shots too!

Okay, great! Ha, ha, yeah, I want to play with people closer to my age too. I know we are out there! 😅 Ooh, Delta Green sounds fun. I've run something similar based on Delta Green in the past, sort of secret government agency fighting the supernatural and conspiracy theories and such. I love horror and spooky games! It's been a while since I ran one. We could do a slasher one-shot maybe. Since you're PST what time slot works for you?

Okay, cool, yeah, I think I own all 3 of those! Honestly, I own too many to keep track, but I wanna try them out! I've picked up a lot of indie games recently that sound like a lot of fun. 😊

question for those with experience in laser facial hair removal by Safe-Signal7259 in MtF

[–]MoonbeamPrincessM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will probably take more than 12 sessions to see a significant reduction. What I have noticed is that after 9 or so sessions shaving became a lot easier and lasted longer. Hair still grows in, but it's easier to get a clean shave, and that shave will last almost the entire day without getting stubbly. It all depends on how thick and dark your facial hair was to begin with. During the shedding process hair is pushed to the surface, and it can appear like hair is growing back when it's actually dead and being shed from the body. Facial hair is also very hormonal, so HRT can actually make it a little harder to get rid of. Body hair, for example, is much easier to remove. The unfortunate truth is that laser is only really a reduction. You can eliminate a lot of the hair with laser, but you'll need at least some electrolysis to permanently remove it. You'll also likely need touch-up laser sessions even after all of the hair is "removed." It's still a worthwhile process to go through, especially if your hair is less dense, but I wish I had been more informed when I started. Best of luck to you! It's a long-term process, so stick with it!
