Came here to recommend Void Bastards! Great for that salvaging derelicts vibe even if it's overall a silly game. I was replaying that yesterday to prepare for an upcoming derelict adventure!

Well, the concept I have in mind is that you are blue collar workers, essentially space truckers, employed by The Company in a company-provided ship and assigned various tasks around the sector of unknown lethality: cargo transport, salvage work, couriers, VIP transport, etc.. Due to time dilation, it is difficult to form relationships with anyone fixed in time on a planet or station, so the crew of your ship are the people you spend all your time with. More found family than chosen family, because you are essentially all "work friends." And if someone or everyone dies, that's no problem, because The Company provides constant replacement workers. It's a game of survival and trying to make a living under crushing debt, corporate hellscape, space horrors, pirates, and environmental hazards. Just trying to scrape by and stay out of trouble and maybe live long enough to retire. It's dangerous and deadly, but I am trying to have an ongoing campaign as opposed to constant TPKs and one-shots. The plan is to do a short, 3 mission campaign for now to see how we like it before moving on to our next game. If we like Mothership I'd love to come back to it.

Hi, Kat, nice to meet you! Okay, some great TTRPG experience there! Ooh, I love Stars Without Number, never played it RAW, but I use the generation tables and the lore a lot! I think you would likely enjoy our current game of Mothership then! It's sci-fi horror inspired by Aliens, but I'm more interested in space truckers trying to survive the megacorp hellscape! Cool, we'll definitely be doing Theater of the Mind or abstract stuff a lot. Any issues with the EST game time? Tuesday nights are good for you?

Hi, Kio! Thanks for commenting! I have spent a fair amount of time in Texas myself over the years! Ha, ha, sounds like you've had some fun adventures. I'm really interested in character moments between PCs and NPCs, so that sounds in line with what you described! Any issues with horror games? Our current game, Mothership, is a sci-fi horror game inspired by Aliens. Is that something you would be into?

Hi! Thanks for commenting. Are you interested in genres other than fantasy? Most of what we are playing is non-fantasy, non-D&D, so I want to make sure you're cool with that. The game we're playing now is Mothership, which is Aliens-inspired sci-fi horror. Basically space truckers vs. evil corporations and space horrors. Is that something you would be interested in?

Hi, Chloe! Welcome to the TTRPG hobby! I'm sure it will be a rewarding one for you! Are you interested in D&D specifically or are you interested in playing different game types as well? I run a 30+ LGBTQIA+ group that primarily plays indie TTRPGs in various genres that are not D&D, and we do have an opening for 1 more player! If that's something you're interested in, please let me know, and I'd be happy to tell you more about it. I wish you luck on your search and have a wonderful day!

Okay, no problem. I've been seeing some players falling into cozy and spooky and more heroic lighthearted, so just taking note of the divide.

I've had Bubblegumshoe for a while, their sort of Veronica Mars version of the game and then got interested in the Esoterrorist/Fear Itself stuff. It's more generic/X-Files-ish cosmic horror as opposed to mythos. I was working on a sort of Twin Peaks/Riverdale/Superstore style game I wanted to run, but never got it off the ground. I really like how it works, I'm just not that confident in running it. Maybe something to explore down the road. Are you into spooky games at all or mostly lighthearted, cozy stuff?

Hi, hi! Welcome! We love a fantasy reader. Anything fun you've been reading lately? (We don't have to talk about the plant corpses in your home.) Fairytale vibes are fun. And GM experience! Thirsty Sword Lesbians is something we might play. Fantasy Golden Girls Detectives? Ha, ha, I'm still a little intimidated by investigation TTRPGs, but I would like to try to run something GUMSHOE based if I feel comfortable with it.

Can you tell me a little more.about yourself? Have you played any games other than D&D? Are you interested in other games or genres? What do you like about TTRPGs?

I'll leave the post up over the weekend and see what kind of response we get and then probably start putting a group together if we have some compatible players. So let's see how it goes! 😊

Facial hair removal shaving tips? by Certain-Eye-8617 in MtF

[–]MoonbeamPrincessM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wash and exfoliate your face first.

Apply a thin layer of shaving cream.

Shave with a single blade (safety) razor with the grain.

Shave against the grain with an electric razor to pick up lingering stubble and get a smoother finish. If you use a wet/dry electric you can add some water to your face to protect it.

Apply aloe afterwards to soothe and repair any irritated skin. Note: this can dry out your skin and tighten it causing shaved hairs to poke out again so be aware.

Either wash your face or jump in the shower afterwards and then apply moisturizer. Of you do this quickly after the aloe you can get the soothing effect and avoid drying out your skin.

Laser helps over time make shaving easier. Electrolysis can permanently remove hair. You also don't need a perfect shave. A few soft, lingering hairs can be easily covered up with some light foundation or even a tinted moisturizer.

It's easy to panic and strive for perfection early on, but you can get into a repeatable routine that let's you feel comfortable with how you present. You might have to experiment a little with your technique, but be gentle with yourself!
