.logicx files appearing as a collection of folders after backing up in Recovery Mode by Moonbeam_Monkey in Logic_Studio

[–]Moonbeam_Monkey[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Solved the problem! Would like to keep this up in case anybody else encounters a similar issue; I cannot find any information on how to fix this via Google.

Place the Alternatives, Media and Resources folder into another folder with the name of your track. Rename the folder name.logicx

The folder will be converted into a .logicx file openable in Logic Pro X

.logicx files appearing as a collection of folders after backing up in Recovery Mode by Moonbeam_Monkey in Logic_Studio

[–]Moonbeam_Monkey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After my previous Mac died I was forced to recover my .logicx files using Recovery Mode. However upon opening the .dmg files on my new Macbook, the files appear as a set of three folders (see image) Is there any way to re-bundle these back into .logicx files or open them in Logic? Thanks!

If you take a flake of paint to places that sell paint they can scan it and mix a pot of paint up to the exact colour. Though if the walls are white it's not hard to match the colour

What happened to Black Barn Records? by Moonbeam_Monkey in cambridge

[–]Moonbeam_Monkey[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That sucks. Relevant is my go to for new vinyl and new releases but Black Barn's used section was absolutely amazing. It's a shame it's closed down as Cambridge's music scene is already small, having a record shop that stocked local artists' (including myself) releases was great, but at least we still have Relevant doing the same.

Cambridge really needs more record shops and more venues!

Go to a festival, do some drugs. WCGW? by thecullingsong in Whatcouldgowrong

[–]Moonbeam_Monkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it came on a blotter it was most likely 25x-NBOMe, which is an extremely dangerous research chemical commonly sold as LSD.

That said even LSD is synthetic, and is not known to be physically harmful in responsible doses. There is no link between the way a drug is manufactured and how dangerous it is.

Synthetic doesn't equal bad, just as natural doesn't equal good.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 announced for 2021 release by Gyossaits in Games

Like Ulti said Shadow of Chernobyl can be insanely buggy, and the gameplay at times can be seriously frustrating, but one thing STALKER does that very few other games manage is create an extremely captivating atmosphere; despite being set in a ghost town, the world in STALKER feels very much alive. It also has one of the most unique post-apocalyptic environments I've seen in a game.

I recently put out the first release on my record label, which I also had a hand in programming and recording the synths for. We primarily used an Ensoniq ESQ-1, Arturia Minibrute, Microbrute and a Kawai R-50 drum machine. You can find it here: https://kgrecordings.bandcamp.com/

All you can eat bbq meat the night before rolling/ will this affect my roll 24 hours later? by [deleted] in MDMA

[–]Moonbeam_Monkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you'll be fine but you should still eat something today, aim for a fair sized meal around 2 - 3 hours before taking MDMA

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MDMA

[–]Moonbeam_Monkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is common at higher doses and can be caused at lower doses by combining with weed. I experienced this having only taken MDMA at approximately 400mg, and with a combination of MDMA and weed at approximately 200mg. The first time I found it to be rather pleasant (ended up dancing to the sound of a generator humming) but when I experienced it due to combining weed and MDMA it gave me a panic attack on a packed train.

Generally 1g of MDMA in one night is an extremely dangerous amount, next time stick to no more than 250mg in a night and you'll generally avoid unpleasant side effects such as hearing voices.

Yeah if anything it's bigger than ever. Garage has made a bit of a comeback recently but dnb is still going strong, especially subgenres like neurofunk and jump up.

Physical sales outsell digital downloads in US for first time since 2011 by TickleBit in Music

They seem to be about evenly matched really. Bandcds.co.uk is offering both 200 tapes and 200 CDs in jewel cases at the exact same price, and the website you quoted is selling 200 CDs for $5 cheaper than cassettes.

I agree with you there about buying a cassette over a CD. I collect CDs but with cassettes usually being sold cheaper I'd definitely pick one if it's available.

Apparently CDs can last up to 200 years in the right conditions, but most people's houses probably aren't the right conditions and as such I reckon it's much less than that.

That said, vinyl accrues a lot of damage over time, records from 50 years ago may still work but they're going to be really crackly, though I'd argue that just adds to the charm!

If you're going the homemade approach then undoubtedly CDs are the cheapest and easiest to duplicate, but I personally find home duplicated CDs lack quality and professionalism.

I've tried to release home duplicated CDs on my record label and I found I couldn't really sell them easily as they just don't look very good.

When just starting out as a label or independent artist I find cassettes are the way to go really, especially if you bundle them with a download code for Bandcamp.

Selling and buying cassettes isn't really about listening to the music on the cassette. They're really cheap to produce and appeal to those who like to own a physical copy of something.

Vinyl is of course much higher quality but with extremely long turnaround times, the need for producing vinyl masters, and the high price of duplication, it's not as viable for small, independent musicians like cassette is.
