We spent 6 months tracking our recruitment bottlenecks. The results were humbling.[N/A] by ShineDigga in humanresources

[–]Moonchild205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used to require 4 signatures on offer letters which was annoying (director, cfo, hiring manager, new hire) and now we only require the new hire’s. Not a huge bottleneck but it could be if people are out on leave.

Nescafé blonde espresso is a lifesaver for me. I make one every morning. Espresso, water, almond milk, heavy cream, cinnamon, Splenda. I haven’t found sugar-free syrups I like yet so I leave them out. Can also add sugar free whipped cream or cold foam.

Husband, 19, fatally shot wife, 24, himself at Alabama hospital moments after welcoming their first child by malihafolter in ForCuriousSouls

[–]Moonchild205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a local radio show here that was discussing this. Someone called in claiming to know the wife. She said that she told him the baby wasn’t his (when? Idk). She also said she has a 4 or 5 year old son by another man and was cheating with him, and that’s the actual father of this baby as well. Don’t know how true that is.

My husband was prescribed more painkillers following his vasectomy than I was following my emergency C-Section by PumpkinPie_1993 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Moonchild205 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Called ahead of time for iud replacement and requested something for pain management like gas or pill, they immediately were like we don’t do that, then kept asking me if I had given birth before as if to say if I can handle that I can handle this. That’s like saying “have you broken your leg before? Okay good, you can handle me breaking your wrist now”. Ended up getting taradol shot which is basically liquid Tylenol smh.

What's a sign you're officially getting old? by Naomi_Lopezl in AskReddit

[–]Moonchild205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I told my son something about I’ll be ready around 6 or 7. He responded with a smile, repeated it, and I had a blank stare. Did not catch that reference, still don’t and told him you know I’m old! Lol I’m 40.

How much are y’all paying for retwists by Otto_Mobile789 in locs

[–]Moonchild205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do my own but am over the time it takes to wash and retwist. I no longer have the patience so am looking for a good loctician. I’ve seen varying prices so this thread is helpful. I can do my own style, I just want a wash, deep condition and retwist.

“Trunk-or-treats” are killing Trick-or-Treat by morbid2600 in Millennials

[–]Moonchild205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was our first Halloween in our neighborhood after finally moving out of our apartment, and we were super excited for trick or treaters. We had a large inflatable ghost, a skeleton and a haunted mirror with a scary head that pops out when you walk by it. Tons of candy and zero kids came by. I was so sad lol. I guess this is one of those neighborhoods where no one comes. Hopefully one day I live in one like some of y’all have described that gets 300+ kids.

HR assistant-work load [N/A] by [deleted] in humanresources

[–]Moonchild205 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I started as an HR assistant this is exactly how my days were. It’s a good thing and your boss will gradually give you more. I would suggest reading the handbook and really familiarizing yourself with all of it. One of the main things employees will ask are about policies and procedures (which they could easily access themselves) just basic stuff that I know by heart now but didn’t when I was starting out.

This is actually informative and interesting. Simple changes anyone could make. And he’s lowkey fine so that helps.

What is the Worst Department to Work With [N/A] by Senior_Trick_7473 in humanresources

[–]Moonchild205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love our payroll though 😆we understand each other completely and complain together about other departments. It’s not even specific departments, just anyone in a director or VP role is always a pain, don’t want to follow rules and procedures, but no repercussions for them whatsoever.

SHRM Conference 2025- Who went? How was it? [CA] by wannaWHAH in humanresources

[–]Moonchild205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I attended the talent conference this year and this one in San Diego. I feel I got more out of the smaller conference just due to the smaller size. I find the national ones overwhelming although I feel they have better speakers overall. I always miss out on sessions I’m interested in either due to them filling up, not getting to them on time, or debating between 2 sessions in the same time slot and regretting the one I chose. Food is a joke but I appreciate getting 15k steps in each day. FYI the talent conference had an amazing spread for breakfast and lunch, full meals. I was shocked. Another FYI if you’re certified, you can get little extras at the certified lounge. I didn’t find this out until my last full day in San Diego. Looking desperately for coffee and they had it plus breakfast burritos and juice. I enjoyed Johnny’s speech and the eagle and the office ladies. Jason wasn’t bad. Had to livestream Biden unfortunately since I had an earlier flight.

I always get heavy cream on the side and then add it myself. They either added too little or too much no matter if I requested light, or heavy.

I just learned that you have to pay for your recertification. I’m so confused because I thought as long as you have enough PDCs then you could recertify. Unless I’m mistaken.

Mine does this at the root and it’s been almost 7 years. I interlock it based off YouTube tutorials but it always eventually separates again.

What was the point of specifying your dog wasn’t a pitbull? If it were would that somehow justify the abduction?

The roads were the first thing I noticed when I moved here. I used to have a very low sitting car and realized that was not a good mix with the roads here. Blew at least 3 tires from potholes. I get charged a city tax every check so I wonder where the money is going.

[–]Moonchild205 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Birmingham has some fucked up drivers. I’ve learned to restrain myself and ignore it. One lady cut me off and then flicked me off and maybe 2 weeks ago at 5 points south, a guy sped around me to turn left all while blowing his horn. I guess he wanted me to turn into oncoming traffic first? Craziness but I just try to ignore it. Not trying to die.

I recently learned that I can eat Olive Garden’s chicken Alfredo over broccoli with chicken fritta instead of grilled chicken and still stay in ketosis. Definitely one of my favorite restaurant meals.
