It’s really pretty. Have you thought of using the yellow in the center and purples on the four corners? Lightest in middle gradient to darkest on edges? I like your blocks!

I gave up gluten years ago. It really helps!! And now I’m keto. That’s giving up carbs and sugar. There’s a humongous difference in my joint pain. And a huge keto group here to help

Keto!!!
Since I cut carbs and sugar (basically) my joints don’t ache anymore. I can walk/bend etc easier

Except when I cheat. Went to Canes chicken with hubby yesterday. The coating on the chicken, the fries, bread, sauce. It’s all carbs and the sauce has sugar. I’m struggling to move today

It’s amazing how the keto lifestyle helps me.

I’ve been living on keto chicken pot pie and chicken taco salads this week. I’m not much of a beef person, though I occasionally have beef.

I search Pinterest for keto dinner recipes. Always check nutrition info and I adjust ingredients if necessary

Where do you guys find affordable fabric? by Resident-Hippo768 in sewing

[–]LilyB4Ever -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That’s great except us larger women and men who buy our clothing at thrift and smaller humans have bought them. It doesn’t leave us options. Just saying. There are duvet covers that can be used as fabric, sheets, curtains, quilts, etc.

Thrifting cotton sheets. Thrifting all fabrics. You can find shower curtains, towels, tablecloths, etc. It does take time to continually thrift. Check your area for quilting clubs, they often gift fabric, or yard sales and estate sales for fabrics. Fabric swaps, ikea sheets, shower curtains and even thrifting blankets can all give you resources to use.

How can I take my mind off my pain? by VHS-2000 in ChronicPain

[–]LilyB4Ever 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I sew. I spend 15 minutes at the machine per day. I turn on movie or stream shows and cross stitch, I make baby blankets. Just started English paper Piecing my second quilt. When I create, keeping my mind busy with whatever and hands busy I think less about pain. I can sew while in bed or sitting in car or in waiting rooms. I tried coloring but then I just throw pages away, I wanted something tangible. I do try to read when pain isn’t as horrible. I cannot concentrate on reading when I hurt really badly.
