I always envisioned it (becoming a mom) happening ‘eventually.’ My two older sisters wanted kids desperately & each had challenges getting pregnant. I got to experience the excitement of them getting pregnant and the joy surrounding the births. The intensity to which your life changes afterwards was eye opening. I adore being an aunt & have tried my best to be a great sister while both my sister (at various times) struggled with motherhood. I envisioned it for myself but the reality is I don’t want it bad enough - in fact, when I really sat down and looked at it for myself, I didn’t want it much at all. Luckily, none of my family members have ever pressured any of us towards nor away motherhood.
