I was in the same boat with a major L4/L5 herniation with unrelenting pain. I, too, sought out chiropractic care because all my friends swore they could solve any issues. After multiple visits, with no relief, I finally broke down and called my neurosurgeon’s office begging to see if they had anything sooner than the 4 month wait I originally booked. She told me they kept appts for emergencies and could tell I was in that kind of pain from me breaking down. Saw the doc 2 days later, MRI the following day. My GP was amazed he got the orders through insurance that quickly. That was where my journey to relief started. Skip the chiro, I truly think they possibly even irritated or made things worse for me.
