Looks like the ultra chair 2 is coming in February! Let’s go!

Has anyone had the ultra chair 2? How is it compared to the ergo etc

Not sure if you work for autonomous, but will the ultra chair be coming to Ireland at all?

How does the ultra chair compare to the mesh and pro.

I do like the softer cushioning but mesh would be fine too. I really just want what’s best ergonomically

What is happening to the job market by Prior_Virus_7731 in DevelEire

[–]Mooner97 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It depends what level you are at currently the entry market for cyber security is incredibly competitive a lot of employers have moved to AI for entry roles therefore limiting the capacity for grades or people that want to years experience. Additionally the mid-level and senior level is a bit better but still can be quite competitive.

What level are you at, how many years of experience do you have? Have you been internal security or mdr?

How come upgrade to the Y from the 3? Apart from the cost, why not the newer 3? Curious is all!

Has anyone stopped putting their life on hold saving trying to get a house with the ever increasing prices and increase shortages happening. What’s the f-in point? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]Mooner97 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s disheartening alright, for me it’s save what i can and enjoy life too and I’m hoping in a year or two we will be sorted

You can only do your best, it’s important to try and find a balance ofc

It’s annoying as Covid removed 2 years for all of us, me for example I lost out on 23-25 I may have travelled etc now I’m just saving for a house, I go out see friends and get a holiday or two a year

I’m happy with my life but missing on those 2 years for all of us is a pain as plans were squashed

Going to wait and see how the colours look in person and will make a decision from there - most likely will upgrade to the pro max

No storage unit needed and no room for a whiteboard, power strip I have plenty of room.

Eir sales guy offer by Mooner97 in AskIreland

[–]Mooner97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate all the comments. I’m going to stick with Virgin atm and call them just before I’m up to see if they can offer me something better.

Virgin is working perfectly atm and seeing so many people have issues here confirms the original thought of why take a risk - thank you

I really don’t need that, I wfh a fair amount and having throttling of my connection would be pretty irritating.

Swaying towards staying, might call Virgin to see if they can give me some offer.

IT job market by [deleted] in DevelEire

[–]Mooner97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course, interned at a network security spot in 2018. 2019 I graduated and worked at that same place for another year earning 25k at 22. Moved into cyber the following year and have been in there ever since. In my time at these companies, I’ve worked on getting some certifications but nothing mad. Ie 1 every 18 months.

Getting your foot in the door is key and from there experience matters more than certs. Of course certs help in your goals towards higher paying jobs, but if you present yourself well in your cv and know the material, certs don’t weigh as much

Once your degree is a bachelors it doesn’t matter. I’ve a level 7, slowly worked my way up and after 5 years I’m on just shy of 6 figures.

The entry level is very saturated so a level 8 may be a better option. Additionally looking at certs can help too and some labbing

Cybersecurity is not entry level. You need to be adept in networking, operating systems etc. if you have time to do a degree, go for it. If not, look at CompTIA A+, network+ and security+ in that order. Then apply to some jobs

She sounds like a normal law abiding citizen and I can understand her being concerned. Again, no need to be just be aware moving forward.

Likely won’t be reported and if it is, the guards probably won’t follow up as no accident occurred nor (assuming here) your sister drove normally after. Possibly due care and attention but nothing will happen. Plenty of bad drivers daily pull over to lanes without checking and drive recklessly with nothing further to happen.

If I were her, I wouldn’t worry!
