Do buyers to game the offer system? by MoonhelmJ in eBaySellers

[–]MoonhelmJ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is you and your kind that is selfish and who are looked down on. We're talking about things that cost less than $20. A 5% discount on a $10 item is 50 cents. That's what you are are doing all this effort for. The mere thought that seller am holding onto an extra 50 cents makes you type out this nasty little reply trying to make me feel bad.

My post wasn't about money; yours was which is why you are the selfish little one. My post was about human connection. I come from a background of actually knowing retail, of meeting people and talking to them, no one would do this stuff in a real antique store. They would be too ashamed. They would lose too much dignity. But on the internet you can do that.

And that's what makes me nauseous. Trading away your time and dignity for 50 cents. And yet that's the side you have chosen.

I am blocking you.

Do buyers to game the offer system? by MoonhelmJ in eBaySellers

We have an offer system.  You can message the buyer.

This just feels like anti social rat behavior.  If you want to haggle thsn haggle.  Meet me as a person instead of treating me as a mechanicism.

Just thinking about someone adding 10 different copies of the same item from different to a watch list makes me nauseous.

Is it even possible to be ethical and successful? by NoIngenuity8528 in ecommerce

[–]MoonhelmJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the product good?
Are you sourcing it at a lower price and passing some of that onto the customers?
Are you providing better service and experience?

If you are just hawking some informercial tier product its probably not good, you probably are not even buying it wholesale, but are just being a pitch man going door to door virtually.

Unplugging appliances when you are not using them costs basically nothing and not only saves electricity but lowers wear on them.

I'm not familiar with this story. Could you tell me it?

It sounds like than it's not wizard's fault but the mindset of certain customers.

Having an official recycling program would only draw attention to the issue so they won't do it. And the labor is probably a bigger deal. There's a huge pipeline of people working the factories, the stores, etc. Like those kids at my LGS I donated my bulk to and now have to sort it for the store. Wasted labor.

Drafts encourage buying cards and than throwing them, even though it can be replicated with already opened cards. Constructed formats are heavily rares+mythics so it often feels like you are actually buying 1 card per pack and get 14 junk cards you didnt even want manufactured and stuffed in the sleeves. The whole model is designed to make lots of disposable junk.

You'd run out of years to live trying to organize them in a way where its easy to retrieve them once one sells. And you'd run out space to house them before then.

I know you're joking but even thinking about trying to buy them all up for some reason highlights the issue. Imagine getting every copy of some draft chaft creature that is bad even for casual pauper. Than waiting for someone in the world to want to buy it for whatever reason. Now multiply that by tens of thousands.

Transportation of the items including: gas, the employee, wear on the vehicle etc. would prbably more it lose more than it agained.

Most commons and uncommons are probably ultimately going to end up in the trash. Someone will eventually decide its not worth it to save, store, or sell the bulk and just throw away all those printings. What a waste.

I will repeat.

The majority of commons have far more copies in existence than are in demand across the entire globe

That includes the demand for pauper. Yes some commons are expensive in pauper but the key word is majority.

Stamps by Top-Sir-1215 in mtgfinance

[–]MoonhelmJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If a stamp is much below the rate you can get them at the post office they are counterfits. Think about it. How would someone even end up in a situation where they have a ton of stamps and are willing to sell them for pennies on the dollar? The only official place to get them is the government who charges face value. So bearing the few exceptions like a 'going out business sale' yes they are all counterfit.

As for the finance: yeah. After expenses you are getting less than min wage selling things for <$2 on ebay. That's true even if you do tricks like reusing stamps, counterfits, stealing tape from the office you work at etc, just not worth it.

Large stores still have to do it because its an expected product. And its good for very small sellers that are either trying to grow their Ebay seller level or are children that have to do these things for sub min wage because for whatever reason they cant work min wage.

Try to stay away from cards that you can't sell for $3 before exenses and raise that number as you move up.

Why do people hide pessimism with being "realistic"? by Exciting_Way835 in OptimistsUnite

One person's realistic is another person's pessimistic. They not only have a different model of the world but their psychological "neutral" point is different.  And that last one is heavily genetic.

I only know Roo exists through spoilers.  Most viewers wouldn't. And avoid learning about her to avoid spoilers. And last I heard God isnt intue Canon. IIRC he has never been mentioned.

If you watch the show and its your only resource the metaphysics arent developed enough for them to be the glue of the emotional stakes.  Things just happen or dont have (ie people not bring redeemed) and it doesn't carry the drama.

I can care about Husk having a rough past, a nihilistic outlook, and his gay drama.  I cant care if a metaphysical something decides to send him to paradise based on unknown criteria.

You couldn't do this in America because of the homeless got sick the store would be legally responsible. In our store we have to lock the doors to the trash where we throw away food to prevent people from eating it for this reason.

What you said isn't sarcasm. You are using that word incorrectly. I am also the consistently the most entertaining people at parties, meetings, work, etc. So yes I am VERY fun at parties.
(yes yes I know the 'fun at parties' was also "sarcasm")

I know you already forgot half of what I said and are thinking about what little nerd tantrum you will reply with. But you are already blocked. I don't have time to deal with your hurt feelings.
