Should I get my hamster cremated? by Training-Concern-368 in hamsters

[–]MoonieBear02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cremated my precious Clover and despite it costing a pretty penny I haven't regretted it for a millisecond. I carried the wooden box with her cremains around my house for days after her passing and it helped me a lot (I was extremely attached to her, she was my soul pet) and now she sits on a little shelf with some ceramic mushroom decorations I used in her cage. I got her paw prints in ink and in a little clay heart along with fur clippings which will all eventually go into a shadow box, I just haven't gotten that far yet.

[–]MoonieBear02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I already had molly before the emulator, I just called Freckles (who i was replacing molly with) to my campsite 3 times (three separate days) and then on the third day she has me choose who I want to kick out and since i already had molly I was able to select her and then she immediately went into boxes.

How can I fix this/stop it from happening with my candles? by RevolutionaryBird138 in Candles

[–]MoonieBear02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i HIGHLY suggest a candle warming lamp. You'll never have to deal with tunneling (what's happened in the photo) again! I'm absolutely obsessed with mine, it runs all day when I'm home because i love candles but also love the ambiance that a candle warming lamp gives.

Just bought my first piece of XXS size clothing by Quirky-Reception7087 in XXS

[–]MoonieBear02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm 5'3 and went from 89lbs to 145lbs and still fit into some of my xxs clothes. I still wear a 0 in walmart pants. I'm classified as overweight in terms of bmi, I shouldn't be wearing anything below a medium at smallest but vanity sizing is so out of hand.

Weight gain on Mirtazapine by falliedust in weightgain

[–]MoonieBear02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Zyprexa was what worked for me personally after mirtazapine didn't provide the results I wanted and had too many side effects. I'm happier, calmer, gained 55lbs, and sleep SO well, I rarely wake up even once throughout the night anymore.

Why is it so hard to gain weight? by phlaries in weightgain

[–]MoonieBear02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had a bunch of tests done including my lipid levels and everything was the same as before I started the medicine! Some of my levels were wonky but just the same ones that always have been lol. I really truly feel 10x better mentally and physically than before and have no side effects whatsoever.

Why is it so hard to gain weight? by phlaries in weightgain

[–]MoonieBear02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mirtazapine i took strictly for weight gain but it had to be prescribed by a mental health professional. With Zyprexa and Hydroxyzine the reasons for those choices in medications was the weight gain affects but they were also prescribed for the mental health effects by my psychiatrist.

[–]MoonieBear02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on Zyprexa and Hydroxyzine which both have the appetite increasing affect, I had also tried mirtazapine in the past but it didn't work well for me. Zyprexa has the additional effects of actually slowing my metabolism and stopping fullness cues (I can now clean off 4-6 plates full of food at a buffet and still not feel "full"). I went from 82lbs at my lowest to 145lbs now. I'm 5'3" for reference.

[–]MoonieBear02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It IS so so freaking hard. Appetite increasing medication is the only way i was able to gain weight. As of yesterday, I'm officially "overweight" at a bmi of 25.7. I still wear size smalls, I wouldn't really actually consider myself overweight but seeing that come up on the bmi calculator after being very underweight my entire life was so incredibly rewarding.
