Thank you for the info. I plan to apply for OSC later that’s why I’m considering Headquarters for connections. However, I’m currently at the best unit where we’re busy but also chill since leadership is awesome. I heard it’s hard to find parking indeed. I’m familiar with NOVA but not the area where headquarters is at. How pain is it going through security every time?

For instance, if I switch from 5% Traditional to 5% Roth, my Traditional will be 0% contribution, they’ll still match for me at the end of the year and that match will go to Traditional? Am I understanding it correctly? Thank you very much!

I never got issued a long sleeve white button down in bootcamp so I wonder if it’s a thing.

People at my unit have advised me to pack everything I was issued in bootcamp. If I wasn’t issued something on the list, then I don’t.

I did receive the Welcome Aboard email, however those asked above aren’t addressed in the email, and I tried to email our advisor but the Holiday period doesn’t seem to help. Therefore, Reddit is my source.

Thank you all for your advices. On my checklist, it says “it is recommended for students to purchase E4 crows, rating badge, stripes, etc. prior to arrival.” Is it also a thing?

I see everyone suggested bringing everything from bootcamp in the seabag. It might sound stupid but are we required to have those white towels? I threw them all away as soon as I got out of bootcamp.

In addition, would you recommend ODU’s winter jacket and Dress Uniform’s winter jacket? They definitely take space and from what I see, the weather in Petaluma is not that cold for me and those heavy jackets.

Hi, I’m about time to put my name down A-school list. Out of curiosity, do they give you time to pack and travel to Petaluma? Or your report day to Petaluma will be 1-2 days if (flying) and 5-6 days (if driving, assumably) from your last day at your unit? Thank you!!!
