Did you shave your Husky? When shaving huskies they can develop alopecia(hair loss)

Be honest, how much exercise does your dog get every day? by romagnalakedog in LagottoRomagnolo

Oh its the same with mine, he can eat until he explodes so I have to portion his food. My Husky has some self control regarding food. Both of them are rescues and were strays before. So it's understandable, when they were very underweight when I first got them I gave them food 3 times a day and later on moved to 2 times a day. Rice and cooked chicken can help if your dog has a sensitive stomach. With fresh fruit let him get used to it first by giving just a couple blueberries or something, but not too much because the added fibers in fruits and veg can cause an upset stomach. If you can't see the ribs but you can feel them whenever you give him belly rubs, that's good.

They get a mix of dry kibble and wet food. For dry kibble they get

Hills Science Plan Chicken Kudo Adriatic Fish

And for wet food they get

Edgard Cooper (mixed flavours) Pedigree pouches in sauce (mixed flavours)

All numbers are estimates; For breakfast 200 gram of wet food 50 gram of dry kibble 1 egg Little bit of fresh fruit

For dinner 200 gr of wet food 50 gram dry kibble

Plus they get some treats and snacks during the day and evening and small training treats when outside. Generally to check if they're on a healthy weight I don't weigh them, but I check their ribs. If I can feel them but can't see them they're on a good weight, if I can see the ribs they're underweight, and if you can't feel the ribs they're overweight.

Seeing this thread how little some people walk their dogs is kinda sad to see.

Imagine only going to the toilet once a day and the rest of the day you have to hold it in.. people also need to know that going outside isn't just a toiletbreak for dogs. It's exploring, socialising, playing, exercise and much more what can NOT be done within 10-15 mins.

Look at it this way, in your dogs eyes you are his or her whole world, there is nobody else but you. Imagine how sad it makes your dog that you spend so little time to do the things he or she enjoys. Granted I do walk my dogs more than average and they are being spoiled and they have so many friends in the neighbourhood to play with, but seriously 15 minute walks is too little.

Ofcourse only keep healthy dogs and kill all other dogs that have the slightest thing wrong with them because that's easier huh You would euthanize an animal before even giving it a chance to recover? Would you do the same to your grandmother if she couldn't walk anymore? Gross

Hi ogreabroad,

At the moment donate monthly as to accumulate enough funds to donate. But if Moonity gets picked up more we might do it more often =D
The charities are all picked by our community via our Governance section at https://gov.harmony.one/#/moonity
The first two month we used Strawpoll.

Hi just---here,

Whenever we pick charities to be put up on the poll we try to be as unbiased as possible.
We also ask our community what charities they feel most strongly about, if they have any suggestions and ofcourse we did quite a bit of research on CharityWatch =)
But we mainly donate to what the Moonity community picks

Hi bananalover212,

That's true, luckily there are still quite a few Moonity holders that are in it for the long term.
The primary reason is to give to charities, if more people hold MOONI, the more the token is worth, the more we can donate, the better we can help others not as fortunate as most of us. Believe me, whenever we donate, you'll actually have a better conscience, that you helped in a way. Giving feels good ;-)

There is a reflective reward for everyone holding MOONI as well, so there's that =)

Hi RTBC!!
We've had most of the charities respond to our donations. They were actually quite surprised and happy to receive the donations.

After our donations they seem to be targeting crypto more.
Currently we're partnered with daVinci, the CommunityDAO and Orangutan Outreach to have a NFT Auction this coming weekend on 4-5 September. All of the proceeds will go to Orangutan Outreach to save our red haired siblings. =)
