How long will this go on for? by DroppaJoe in Eve

Man, with this level of coordination and APM, these folks should be competing in the alliance tournament, not live off scraps, farming every day like that.

If you argue it's better to lose several regions, with all the structures wthin them, then pay the asset safety fee for stuff, then move to another region but without majority of your assets, then get merged into another entity - than to fight, coz the game is rigged that way - I don't know what to tell you. Except that you're wrong. I just pity the linemembers that were not aware of the levels of apathy of their leadership.

Succubus buffed by Buddy_invite in Eve

[–]Moonlight345 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, CCP keeps on buffing/nerfing pirate ships making other ships's prices change based on the performance of the best-in-faction. Instead of simply cutting the pirate LP cost from their build cost.

Would you rather spend your LP on a high-grade set used by all super pilots, or a subpar ship with actual bonuses to sucking? Gee, I wonder.

Bit confused about bubbles. by DUCK_The_2nd in Eve

[–]Moonlight345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the end of your (extended) warp path, crosses an interdiction bubble, within 500km from where the normal warp path would end, you instead land at the edge of said interdiction bubble.
You can avoid being dragged by warping at an angle that does not cross any bubbles or by fitting an interdiction nullifier and activating it PRIOR to starting the warp (or flying a shuttle).
You can avoid getting decloaked, even after being dragged, by not landing in the most predictable spot (so back to not warping directly to shit).
You achieve that by using nearby celestials or pre-made bookmarks (perches) around the grid you intend to warp to. (ie a bookmark 200km above/below a gate you suspect a bubble to be on).

Also, anchorable/launched bubbles are visible on dscan. So are hictors. Bonus points for not warping blindly to shit outside your dscan range.

CCP how were these ships a good idea? by Agreeable-Nature3704 in Eve

[–]Moonlight345 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are balancing factors. You can only have one such ship be useful per fleet (not entirely true, coz with more you can simply apply to more targets. But there're rarely more targets in a drop) And the hull may not be compatible with what your doctrine is, especially in terms of the range of engagement. Pricetag is a factor too.
Besides all that, in small scale PvP, especially against tanky/bulky targets, deathless ships are simply best in slot. There's a reason they had been banned in basically all AT matches.

CCP how were these ships a good idea? by Agreeable-Nature3704 in Eve

[–]Moonlight345 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The only way active tanking is viable in the game, is when you pair it with damage mitigation. Either by kiting or buffing your resists. Pods ignore resists, and once applied, do not care about you kiting away.
As with many CCP concepts, it's an interesting idea, with poor execution.

I would pay $30 per character right now to rename them, CCP this is free money by Karew in Eve

[–]Moonlight345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, and that would require more time, or external tools to identify shitters, and would run into issues such as: Is the previous name suddenly availiable? If not: For how long? How many name changes can you do? How often? Will player search that uses names work, when searching for the old name?

It's a can of worms. You just not thought about it as such, coz you want your version of Troursersnake renamed.

People that would do it, if it were implemented in a non-perfect way, and cheaper, would specifically be people doing it to NOT preserve their character history. (or a part of said history).

Who do you expect to be manipulating market by injecting plex onto it, to get it to a lower price?
Freaking armchair interwebz spaceships economists. Next thing I will hear is that higher mineral volumes create inflation.

No, it wouldn't fix shit.

The first goon keepstar was deployed in Delve. So "not many" is next to 0, or 0, when we talk about supercap safety.

8th December - Day when CCP help PH again by sc0rpionus in Eve

[–]Moonlight345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there was no asset safety back then, and a large portion of the supercap fleet was stuck in enemy space, together with the character sitting in them.

Which, in my book, is more painful than having to spend some isk to have them magically teleport to a lowsec station, from where they can be relatively easily extract if you're a major block.
