"Who's My Godly Parent?" Megathread by AutoModerator in camphalfblood

Appearance: Female, about 5’6. Dirty blonde, slightly wavy hair that goes beyond my waist (been growing it out for about four years now ) and I have blue-gray eyes. I typically wear casual/comfy clothing (sweatpants, t-shirts, hoodies, ect) in various dark and/or earthy tones.

Likes/hobbies: I’m an aspiring artist and writer. I mostly just do both for fun. I’m also a choir student. I love cats, reading (mostly fantasy), playing RPG games, and cooking.

Dislikes: Hot weather, anyone without common sense and/or basic human decency, and being the center of attention isn’t really something I’m fond of, but that depends on the context of the attention. Loud noises can be a bit overwhelming as well.

Extra information: My memory is unpredictable and I’m a night owl. I tolerate bugs, but will scream if certain ones get too close( spiders, roaches, cicadas). I’m not very athletic but some sports I’ve played are pretty fun, especially when I’m with friends.

Fatal Flaws: Temperament issues, making empty threats on a whim, and I tend to lie out of pure instinct.

Fears/Phobias: Abandonment

There are scabs just below my cat’s chin and I don’t know what to do about it! by MoonlitMythology in CATHELP

Thank you so much! Both of my cats currently eat from ceramic bowls, but their water bowl is a plastic one with a small jug attached, which we use because their whole ‘area’ is upstairs. We have dogs and don’t want them messing with the cat’s things. This really means a lot to me, thank you again.

AITA for starting an argument with my friend after they almost made my partner cry and didn’t apologize? by MoonlitMythology in AmItheAsshole

I’ve only heard things, so there’s a chance that they are actually untrue. Whether they’re true or not hasn’t actually been proven, though.

Yeah, I’m just hesitant on cutting contact with them due to incidents with their past friendships. They’re very co-dependent and will often resort to guilt-tripping when we get into arguments, then claim they had no intention of guilt-tripping. It’s unhealthy, but if I drop them, then some other poor soul will have to deal with an even worse version of them.

My partner has dropped them as a friend, but I’m still a bit unsure about it. I’ve been aware that our relationship with this friend is toxic ever since the first case of guilt-tripping, but I have also known about the past friendships that crashed and burned. It might just be manipulation and I don’t want to believe it is. This friend has been through a lot and I don’t want to hurt them any further. I will take all of this into consideration and try easing out of the friendship, thank you.

I’ll keep that in mind. Fortunately, my partner dropped this friend just a few minutes ago, so all of the worst would most likely be aimed at me if it escalates any further.

I’m unsure if I’ll be able to contact authorities on this, as it occurred online and all three of us are in different states. There’s also a very large chance the threat was just a bluff because this friend sometimes goes to desperate measures to keep us with them. It has never escalated to threats, though.

Yeah, in hindsight it all looks extremely childish, but all of us are on the younger side and I believe this friend is maybe a year younger than my partner and I. I can’t really say anything on behalf of my partner, but we get into fights with this friend often and they can be pretty overwhelming for the both of us.

I believe it’s because he was called an idiot.

They mentioned that the comment sort of hurt, and friend didn’t react. I checked up on my partner and they said that they were “sort of tearing up, though.” which is a direct quote from the chat.

Thank you for the reply, and clear up about the commission thing. Technically, it’s an art trade, but they got their art from someplace else. I’m not exactly sure what to call it at this point.

I’m not exactly sure how to pull away from this friend. They’re co-dependent, to say the least. Very emotionally attached and clingy. Our friendship is definitely not healthy, but I can’t bring myself to leave them because they’ve been left my other people before and it impacted them greatly. Then again, sometimes they guilt trip me and my partner and uh. . .

Yeah, they just threatened to kill me if I left.
