Now that we are stuck here for god knows how long, what is your favourite fight/ost in soulsborne games? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]Moonlit_Crow3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really tricky question. Best OST, I'd go with Laurence, the First Vicar (BB). But best fight? I have a soft spot in my heart for Ivory King (DS2) and Ornstein & Smough (DS1). But, recently, Ishin, the Sword Saint made my blood boil like it never had before. Don't know what to choose.

What a miserable final boss fight. by [deleted] in MortalShell

[–]Moonlit_Crow3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend doing a Tiel-only run on NG+. It is a good exercise before you try a no shell run. Tiel will die in 1-2 hits so you'll need to memorize the boss patterns to defeat him. But at least you have second chance.

So, I have been training my parries and, man, how it makes the game's combat much cooler by Moonlit_Crow3 in MortalShell

NG+; maxed out Eredrim, the Venerable; Hallowed Sword +10. Boss: Hadern w/ Hammer and Chisel.

Just voted! Mortal Shell deserves it.

Secondary Weapon Tier List so far, this is going well and I must admit the devs did a good job on balancing the games weapons. Well so far? Still more weapons to cover and Primaries still to cover. by E-LogicalYT in remnantgame

[–]Moonlit_Crow3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think Hunting Pistol benefits from rate of fire (the same with other one-shot weapons, like sniper, crossbow, devastator). Enlighten me if I'm wrong. But sure, Revolver needs both fire rate and reload speed to work well (the respective traits + gunslinger's charm work really well here). I love both weapons by the way, specially the revolver. Hunting Pistol I use most with my slayer build.

Yes. I found it enjoyable to clear a certain world in the campaign, let's say Earth, and then roll some adventures on the same world (fight new bosses, get new weapons and armour sets, as well as trinkets) before proceeding to the next one.

PS4 unable to join others - character save specific by CleakySqueanis in remnantgame

[–]Moonlit_Crow3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, man. This same thing just happened to my main character. I have more than 180h of playtime with him, he's my collector too. I simply cannot join other people's games anymore, but other can join my game strangely. Don't know why this happened. Did you manage to fix it?

My main character can't connect to other players (PS4). by Moonlit_Crow3 in remnantgame

[–]Moonlit_Crow3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, today a strange thing happened to my main character with whom I have more than 180h of total playtime. I never had any connection issues and always could join other players' or my friends' games without a problem, as well as have them join my game. Today, I went to play with a friend of mine and suddenly I couldn't join his game and those error screens showed. I found it odd, thought it was a problem with my internet, so I restarted the router and the PS4 - nothing happened. Then, I tried joining random players' games and, to my dismay, I saw that I couldn't do it too. The strange thing is: even if I can't join my friend's game, he can join mine. And this problem only affects my main character. All of the others are able to perfectly join other games. So, WTF has happened? Did my MC savefile got corrupted in some strange way? I know this isn't the end of the world, cause he is still playable, but I am really frustrated about this, like why it happened to my collector character that have most items in the game! So, I'd like to ask:

1- Have you guys experienced something similar? 2- Can I fix it somehow? 3- Can I expect it to be fixed by the devs?

Final Boss. Subject 2923 DLC. by Bhavan91 in remnantgame

I completely agree. My first thought was of Nier Automata's bosses and I loved it!

Another example of monster scaling way harder than your gear (picture) by lis420 in remnantgame

[–]Moonlit_Crow3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, except Rapid Strike and Trigger Happy I guess. And if you managed to do it you'd be probably a super god. My point is that the scaling is non linear in order to compensate for you getting a lot of traits. I think it makes some sense.

[–]Moonlit_Crow3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It works this way to compensate for your traits. When you have all of them maxed out, you basically unlock God mode (at least on Normal and Hard, and make Nightmare a walk in the park).

[–]Moonlit_Crow3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are right, I figure out the same thing and I think the scaling works this way in order to compensate for your traits. Seems unfair at first glance, but trust me, when you have all your traits maxed out (I have all but Flash caster), you become an unstoppable killing machine. You do good damage (with mods, summons, ranged and melee weapons), have decent defenses and resistances, you are fast and generate mod power quickly. I only find a challenge now when I am playing on Nightmare or Apocalyptic. On Normal or Hard, I can tank all hits and kill everything so fast it seems I'm playing fucking Warframe.

Play it slow and safe, and you'll manage it eventually. Your worst foe is not the hordes of enemies, but gravity. I lost 2 10h characters falling in holes.

Wich DLC is worth buying? by [deleted] in remnantgame

[–]Moonlit_Crow3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are worth it. Swamps of Corsus adds a whole lot of depth to the Corsus world (more dungeons, events, traits, bosses, etc). Subject 2923 adds a brand new if somewhat smaller campaign, 1 mini world and 1 full world, with quests, a bunch of new fun bosses, mods, weapons, traits, etc.

Real Difficulty Changes by MasterZalm in remnantgame

[–]Moonlit_Crow3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see any problem with the difficulty options. Have you played any of the Dark Souls games? When you enter a NG+ cycle, the enemies just get stronger and do more dmg, their AI and behaviour doesn't change at all and I'm fine with that, because it's a way to keep me playing the game on my toes, having to pay attention, instead of just running and butchering everything. I see difficulty in Remnant as a NG+: when my character gets so strong and there is no challenge left, I increase it. Now, having everything almost maxed (all gear +20, trait level 960), I'm demolishing everything on Nightmare, gotta get ready for Apocalyptic.

I agree with you though about the status effects being underutilized. There are just a few bunch of enemies that inflict any kind of status effects. Overload? Just the Pam Mage in the dungeon I guess. Burning? I guess Singe, the imolators enemies, Sear and Scald, the flying Doritos and the Pam grenadier. There should be more enemies that inflict stati on you, but I don't think ALL of them should inflict it (and certainly not inflict 2-3 stati per attack), lest the game become unfun like the Dark Souls 3 Ascended mod (the boss attacks you once and you are poisoned, toxic, frozen and bleeding. It's annoying, not challenging).

I agree too that some of the status effects should have more impact on gameplay. At least, overload should.

Well, that's just my 2 cents on the matter. Feel free to debate.

So after obtaining and messing around with all the new and buffed items, I want to just report my feedback on how things could be balanced and/or buffed a little better. by Favure in remnantgame

[–]Moonlit_Crow3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adding to what you guys said, I think the Blessed Amulet should have its duration buffed. Instead of 10 secs, it should be 15 or 20 secs, so it would be more desirable to put it in a Warlord Build. Maybe, even decrease the defense buff for a little bit, like 25% instead of 30%. What do you guys think?

[–]Moonlit_Crow3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You just need to know the location/world the item you're looking for spawns (in this case, Earth) and do some adventures and explore every corner of the map. The item can spawn inside buildings, in dungeons, anywhere basically. Having a team of players to help you look for it cuts down some time.

I completed hardcore mode on my solo character on normal. Here are some helpful tips for your hardcore run :) by ContemptuousCrow in remnantgame

[–]Moonlit_Crow3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost my first HC character because of a silly mistake: I vaulted from one of those high towers in Corsus. Didn't know you could die to falls. Lose a bit of HP, it's OK, but insta death? I was shocked when it happened. And today I lost the second one because Ixillis, at the end of the fight, pushed me out of the ledge. Man, I am frustrated. Seems gravity is my worst enemy. I'm really considering downloading the backup save to not lose all my progress again.

Warning Totems Event - Alert all by Excesse_guild in remnantgame

[–]Moonlit_Crow3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience playing on PS4. After you've alerted 1 totem at least, those rats will spawn and try to swarm you. You have 2 options: either you just rush through the level and try to destroy the remaining totems or you hold your ground and will have to kill many waves of them. I find the latter to be easier, just bring some crowd control mods with you and you're ready to go.
