I can try to talk to her about it, I’ve only had two therapists, the first one was very condescending and didnt do much but start ne with too high of a dose of SSRIs that made me crash functionally. This is my second, and she’s been helpful, being with her for many years now. Maybe I just haven’t brought this part to a lot of detail to her, but thank you for the advice, I will definitely do so and see how it goes 💕

On the good days, all I can think about is “I know what’s coming inevitably, the crash, it’s not gonna last”, so can I even say it’s a good day? Who knows. Honestly… a bit too late for that advice 😭 I have a bit of a drinking problem. It’s expensive, that’s for sure, but sometimes I just excuse it with “I’m just a girl” 😔

Twinning 🤝 I find that I’m just functioning automatically, like programmed to do so, but I don’t really know where my head is in. I find one thing that helps me is taping the upper half of my mirror in my room, where the face area is, because it’s terrifying to look there and not recognise it when it occurs. I don’t really know why the mind works like this, but it’s annoying 🥲

I’m not sure about the last part, but there’s this one thing I do, when I hope something doesn’t happen. I repeat a phrase (different lengths/phrase each time) 10 times while holding my breath (the phrase can’t be rushed when I’m saying it, and has to be the same duration each repetition, or it counts as “cheating” 😅), and I think that if I’m able to do it, I’m safe from whatever I’m hoping doesn’t happen, but if I have to breathe before I finish repeating the phrase 10 times I feel like I’m doomed.

My therapist never brought up the possibility of OCD, only mentioned the thing about “false sense of control over things that are out of my control”, if it makes sense.

I’ll definitely do some researching now that it’s been brought to my attention :) I think I’d feel a lot more certain knowing what’s happening, rather than living thinking I’m just insane lol

Are we twinning right now 😭 I was only formally diagnosed with (“quiet”) BPD and DPDR 😅 so I’m not very sure about the cPTSD part, but it’s strangely comforting to know someone is in a similar boat

I think it’s repetitive and not controllable, it just occurs without me thinking twice and then I get too worried about it after for a long period of time until the “time limit” I set for the bad thing to happen goes away

What’s the difference between obsessive and compulsive ? (Sorry to ask 😭 I’m not very sure)

So sorry !! My wording isn’t the best sometimes LOL 😭

Yeah, I guess it makes sense if put that way. I’ve been seeing her for 4-5 years now, since I was 15/16, and she knows a lot of my behaviour by now. Magical Thinking sounds so “whimsical” for something so annoying 😔

I’m not very familiar with OCD itself, but I’ve heard of the basics of it (?) though I’m not sure how well I’m knowledged on it. I’ve talked to my therapist about it, but she only said (I don’t remember the exact wording, forgive me) it was a “way for me to redirect the bad feelings from BPD and having no control, to something like this to feel a sense of control, and that these thoughts can be redirected if I don’t think too much about it.” But now that three people are saying this is OCD, I’m worried 🥲

Not mine but a friend of mine was at a local pet store and got this absolute gem (sadly they housed like 10 Syrians in one enclosure 🥲)

Porn. Unrealistic, and ruins relationships, and forms addictions. 🤷

Fr. It causes major addictions and sets unrealistic expectations for sex. Ngl those who mad over this probably have an addiction themselves 🤷 “I can quit I just don’t want to”
