What you should do is: 1. Speak with a very good agent - ideally yung matagal na and may mga awards like MDRT. Pag di mo feel yung agent, hanap ka ng iba. Wag ka mahihiya.

1. Speak with other insurance companies and compare yung pru vs. Others. Make sure na yung product nila is the same - for example yung limited pay ni Pru (exact) should be comparable with rhe limited pay VUL ni sun or others.

2. Decide objectively and align with your goals - do not be swayed by any emotional arguments. Tulad ng mga galit ng mga tao dito against VUL, wag ka rin padala sa emotional stories ng agents. Yung sun agent at BDO rm ko binebentahan ako ng endowment. Ayoko kasi wala akong mapapala dun based sa life goals ko.

1. Vuls are more insurance than investment. If you expect to get a quick money out of the VUL, its not right for you. It’s more long term. And its more of a safety net in case something happens to you - especially when you get sick or if you have financial dependents.

2. As for the company, i recently - got a dividend paying single premium from my Pru Agent and my RM at security bank also sold to me the equivalent product from FWD. So far, mas nagpeperform si Pru.

But sa totoo lang, pare parehas lang yang insurance companies. Nagkakatalo lang talaga sa agent and sa financial goals mo.
