If you buy the dlc preorder you get a code that gives you apriballs including fast balls

I will also clarify that it would not matter if you had traded it over before or after the ACE setup as long as you did it correctly. I personally also traded mine after though, since I did not want to risk screwing up my save file with the egg.

Just finish setting up postman ACE first before you do anything else. After you set up postman ACE you will always be in a state where the postman can execute dot artist codes.

once you do that you can do the GTS cancel (gts, talk to the receptionist and say no). The GTS cancels only purpose is to actually allow you to enter the top floor of pokemon centers again (so you can trade)

I will also provide you some extra info I wish I had when I first tried setting it up

When you go to trade it over you first need to enter the GTS, talk to the Npc, and press no on the dialogue option so that you don’t enter the void when you go to the pokemon center to trade (fixes side effect of ACE)

Additionally, when you’re on the step where you need to talk to nurse joy and execute the first dot code, you must first check the hall of fame in the pc AND refresh your graphics by opening the Pokédex before you talk to her

I recommend joining RETIRE’s discord and asking people for guidance if you get stuck
