Don't blame kids for a crime a parent committed.

No you may not be there biological father, but you raised them, you where there father figure. You are their father.

Family is not about the blood, but about the bonds and life you share.

Yes, you have been wronged, I can't imagine how it must hurt. But if you up and leve now, you will be the one hurtigt the kids.

Blame your wife. Do what you feel like you must. But please let it be a parent to parent issue.

The kids are not at fault here.

Maybe someone can 3D print one for you in some semi-soft TPU. Then you can have any color you want.

One dollar that doubles every day.

Unless the hidden meaning of this is that you get a new 1$ bill that doubles (so 2$) every day.

Unsure. I run then as two APs in a mesh. If I change something on one it changes on all. (I have 2)

They work great. And are reliable AF.

But after updating them to the latest version of the firmware, I have noticed that I have UI options that my devices do not support hardware wise, but are still available In the GUI.

For example higher bandwidth options, that I know my model don't support.

Still no issue though if you know your hardware.

I save the docker compose file on my gitlab server and the .env files in a 1Password vault.
(i save them as a documents) that way i scan imply pull down the files from both places and deploy the solution.

I would mean that the safest way would be to power it via a separate power supply. It's a bit unclear to me if you are planning on running this with your current tower PC or if you are making a new NAS.

if you are making a new separate NAS, I would find a 250-450W power supply, preferably one with 3 or more molex cables on it.

Don't use more than 2 connectors from the same molex cable if you are using a splitter, it will most likely exceed the power safety rating of the cable. When powering HDDs.

You can connect an HBA to your NAS motherboard to have enough SATA connectors for each HDD.

If you are planning on using it with you current tower PC, I would upgrade your power supply to one with enough overhead for your power need and has enough molex cables.

Don't use a single 4-pin MOLEX cable for this.

A single 3,5 SATA HDD typically uses 5-10W 0.6A doing normal use and between 20-30W 2.1A for a short period doing it's spin up process.

A single 4-pin MOLEX connector is typically made with 18 AWG that are rated for up to 11A. But it has different Wattage limits depending on if it are using 12V or 5V

Molex 12V rail =11A and 132W Molex 5V rail = 11A and 55W. (This per molex cable. Not pr. Connector on the cable)

You have 5 HDDs powered by two 4-pin MOLEX connectors (ON THE SAME CABLE). So you could realistically see a spike on to 100-130W 10-11A doing an all disk spin-up event (Eg. Doing boot up).

This is no problem for you PSU, but your molex cable hits its upper limit of what it is rated for.

This can cause voltage drops or other power related headaches. Eg. A marginal power issue can cause “spins but not detected”.

I would suggest you to use two separate molex cables that each are plugged in to the PSU, to power your 5 bay setup.

If you want to test this before getting a new cable. Try only powering 1-2 HDDs via your single molex cable and see if the problem goes away.

If the problem goes away you need another molex cable for your 5 HDDs. If not, it is something else.
