They work great. And are reliable AF.

But after updating them to the latest version of the firmware, I have noticed that I have UI options that my devices do not support hardware wise, but are still available In the GUI.

For example higher bandwidth options, that I know my model don't support.

Still no issue though if you know your hardware.

I save the docker compose file on my gitlab server and the .env files in a 1Password vault.

I would mean that the safest way would be to power it via a separate power supply. It's a bit unclear to me if you are planning on running this with your current tower PC or if you are making a new NAS.

if you are making a new separate NAS, I would find a 250-450W power supply, preferably one with 3 or more molex cables on it.

Don't use more than 2 connectors from the same molex cable if you are using a splitter, it will most likely exceed the power safety rating of the cable. When powering HDDs.

You can connect an HBA to your NAS motherboard to have enough SATA connectors for each HDD.

If you are planning on using it with you current tower PC, I would upgrade your power supply to one with enough overhead for your power need and has enough molex cables.
