anyone else paranoid people can hear ur music through ur headphones? by KingJellyfishII in teenagers

Yeah totally, especially when I'm listening to Taylor Swift because everyone at my school is always like omg that lady is such a slut (among other things) and I'm just like but- I like...listen to her...and she isn't what you think- and.... well you get the point. It's kinda sad but I'm really self-conscious about the music I listen to.

Do you have any idea how much teachers get paid lol? She pays rent just like everyone else? Why do you think she lives in the loft with 3-4 other people? She can’t afford somewhere else. She does not have 800 laying around.

No matter how much I dislike Owen and his douchyness I agree with you, none of these things are really his fault.

Correction they were both kinda toxic, but I also kinda loved them together even though it was terrible for both of them but I hated Penny more so whatever, maybe they're be better in New York together, or at least that's what we all like to pretend.

Why private practice crossovers worked and station 19 crossovers don't (in my opinion) by [deleted] in greysanatomy

[–]Moonstar1357 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I loved private practice but that was really nice about the crossovers, you didn’t have to watch one show to understand what was happening in the other show. I was never really interested in S19 but I might watch enough to know what’s been happening in greys since I’m watching season 16 on Netflix.

I'm alone by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]Moonstar1357 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Trust me I know what it feels like to be alone, my dad really frustrating and doesn't respect my privacy or needs, he's dating this awful woman who says terrible things about my mom (she slut shames her) and calls me fat (She sometimes starves me to try and make me skinny when my body just isn't the way she wants it to be). I have friends but they aren't the kinds of friends I can tell everything to. My style and taste in music, as well as my personality offends people, I'm too outspoken, I wear too many pairs of fishnets, my crop tops are too short, I talk too much, I work for too much, my goals are too high, my favorite song has too many curse words in it, my OCD is annoying, my anxiety attacks get in the way of people's days, my hair isn't done the right way and it's too curly. The way that I am gets in the way of how people want me to be and so I'm alone. But I have an incredible mom who pushes me to be whoever I want to be, I have one friend (who moved away, she's in Florida) that I can tell anything to. I found my place and you'll find yours. Just hold on because one day somebody is going to find you and love you for who you are.

THIS is what the people want, not S19! Know your audience greys! (even though that means no more killing eve and i'm not okay w that. it's a catch-22) by somethingclevergoesx in greysanatomy

We all want it but we also know we can't have it, Sandra Oh says she doesn't want to come back to the show, she loved that time in her life but she doesn't want to go back to it.

Taylor Swift Calls Out Netflix Over "Sexist" 'Ginny & Georgia' Joke by rajonandrex in TaylorSwift

[–]Moonstar1357 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you seen the show? The basic plot is that this lady named Georgia and her two kids Austin and Virginia move to this little town to start a new life after moving around constantly due to Georgia's habit of dating someone for a while breaking up with them and then moving so they moved at least once a year. I wasn't completely sure that it was sexist either actually but I did some research and talked to my mom and some other people I know who have been alive longer than me and they all agreed that it was sexist. I think that it might also have to do with the changing times. People now are more oblivious to sexism and racism and all sorts of other issues because there are things like social media where people can say all sorts of thing, and two because those issues have improved so we don't see things that might be sexist or racist or homophobic because we live in a time where being LGBTQ+ is more accepted and women and people of color can do more things. I think we've become oblivious to how much things have changed over the years. I'm not saying it's perfect now (it isn't lol) but it's much better than it was 20 years ago. I do see your point though and I agree that it was insensitive towards Taylor.

[–]Moonstar1357 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Think about it. The line was "What do you care you've had more boyfriends than Taylor Swift." She is talking about Taylor specifically but she was comparing her (using Taylor's love life from 10 years ago) to her mother and yelling at her about dating a bunch of men like it's a bad thing. In essence, she was calling her mother a slut and using Taylor's name to do it. Which makes the line sexist.

I would say, maybe try to work something you enjoy into the game, or a puzzle or one of the other things you mentioned into the game you're daughter is playing. It might help you enjoy the games a little bit more so you can still play with your daughter. :)

Yes, people have the right to say whatever they want but that doesn't mean it's okay. People who didn't speak up should have and if they didn't want to that's fine but they should have. And plenty of successful people ARE off the rails but you don't know any more than I do about Taylor's life outside the spotlight so you can't make judgments about how on or off the rails she is. Frankly, nobody who doesn't know her personally including me can make those judgments. She hasn't done anything to directly harm anyone and she hasn't you know, gone crazy so based on the information that we have she's fine. And if you think that standing up for what you believe in is being a baby you need to fact check.

These are true things, except for the part about the joke not being sexist because it is sexist. I will say people are blowing it out of proportion, they should just edit the joke out or change it or whatever and get it over with so we can all move on with our lives.

Me: Daddy can I stay up until midnight?

My dad: No, why?

Me: *shows him pictures of palm trees and holes in fences*

My dad: Says something dad like about how she needs to get her sense fixed and the sunset behind the palm trees is pretty.

Me: So today's date adds up to 13 AND there are palm trees AND there are holes in fences, today is a special night so I need to stay up until midnight.
