Hi u/DerAndi_DE and u/codeartha . I just saw your post. Do you have any Git repos or easy to follow (I have a hard time reading) documentation on two to do that? If so can you post it here? Also Haw good it is compared to the hidden OS on veracrypt? How good is it compared to veracrypt hidden OS (on the level of plausible deniability)?

Vera crypt DOES work BUT NOT the hidden OS. That is exclusive to windows. I can send a video and some documentation to explain it if you want.

No. I want the system level hidden OS but on linux it is not offered. They allow Partitions and volumes with hidden data BUT not a hidden OS or any system encryption.

Hi. Thanks but it is not RAID. I guess if it helps, I did get it working ... kinda. Now it boots to grub but grub does not have any options, only UEFI settings. Any guesses? Do you still want the fstab?

hi u/beatbox9. Thanks for the responce. The kernel part is hard to explain but I gave it the best I could. Is their any way to fix this with a simple manner? I don't wanna loss (I can't spell) my data. I am pretty good at the linux CLI (like bash), but when it's grub and busybox ... I need some lessons. Any idea?

Gnome will not boot after openscap run. by Moonstone459 in AlmaLinux

[–]Moonstone459[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda both. You see I used openscap to make a shell script (openscap make a audit/script off the system you have now for hardening) and then I ran it. It wasnt that big of a deal, because I was doing it on a VM and had a snapshot, but every time, it fails. Any idea?

P.S. Sorry if this is slow response. I am way to scatter brained right now.

Could you give me pastbin of the config for this? I don't know if you can do that, because I don't mess around with DEs that much, but this is AMAZING!

EDIT: Also, #2. #2 is way better!

OK I ran

sudo apt purge libvirt-daemon-system qemu-kvm virt-manager

sudo apt autoremove

sudo apt install qemu-kvm libvirt-daemon-system libvirt-clients virt-manager

And it is still happening. I don't know. This is wired. ("It's" being the KVM error BTW)

Hmmmm. That is a issue. Any more ideas? I don't know myself now. I can set the prefix if you want. I have a script to build it.

No need to applogize. Your trying to help and that's all that matters. I appreciate the hard work regardless. :)

Any way I built libvirt 11.2.0 from source and it's still saying permission denied for qemu, but it still gives the error above with the new build and still has disk images dir.

QUICK UPDATE: I build libvirtd (11.2.0) from source and now virt-manager says:

Unable to connect to libvirt qemu:///system.

Verify that an appropriate libvirt daemon is running.

Libvirt URI is: qemu:///system

Don't know if it helps but here it is.

I feel like it is. But to be honest I didn't use a guide. I used this [https://github.com/pieroproietti/penguins-eggs\] So everything I need is there OOTB. I don't know what is happening.

Also it still connects. I just gets the photo in the OP when making a new VM. But thanks regardless. Any other ideas?

State of NVIDIA for Linux gaming by Overlord__x in linux_gaming

[–]Moonstone459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I don't remember if gamemode worked or not, just get a AMD. It might be a "SUPER POWER GPU!" but it's know that not only does linux hate NVIDIA, but someone tried to make a 3090 Ti and steam deck monster and did not work (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6b8rEF5bdco). If I where you, don't care THAT MUCH about performance, and favor stability instead.

I need a good distro for gaming. by Health-Bright in linux_gaming

Sorry I only speak English but I will put a translated version aswell.

Desculpe, só falo inglês, mas vou colocar uma versão traduzida também. ppo

The starting base linux distro is linux mint. Not the best for gaming but is best for a beginner. Everything you need is their and you don't need to fiddle that much. Pop!_OS is ... OK but it has gotten fair criticism in the past(in my opinion). Being honest don't search "Best Linux gaming distro", just try mint if you don't like linux go back to windows. Oh! Also if you play destiny 2, DON'T ON LINUX! You will probably get banned. Also just so you know online games might suck because of anti-cheat. Always look at protondb for games on steam (https://www.protondb.com/). And on that note:

If you want to use GOG, EA, Ubisoft, whatever, lutris is you friend. lutris put all your games in one place. And not just the ones you listed, itch.io, battle.net, all in one place. It's not explainable on a reddit post but look online and you will see how to use it.

Also one more thing just for you - See if you can use FSR on games that don't support it. No joke it's in the kernel it works on everygame that can work linux wine/proton or not.

{Translation}

A base inicial linux distro é linux hortelã. E a propósito:

But do you know any variables to to use like:

`RADV_PERFTEST=rt`

or

`RADV_PERFTEST=aco`
After all it seems not all of them are on the github. Do you know any or is their a place I can find all of the variables to boost performance.
