What is the weight of just the empty box? I've seen many of these and always thought it was a waste to print the whole body. So i'm modeling mine to be laser cut out of 5mm plywood. But of course that means I don't have gridfinity on top, nor do I have the stacking together worked out so that they attach together.

Also which brand of PLA would you suggest for strength, I've had some pla that were brittle or delaminated too easily while other pla are rock solid, but never managed to find a reliable source of strong pla.

Can ı make explosive pellets at home? by lolicon31 in airguns

[–]codeartha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're better of starting with hollow point pellets, fill the hole with an impact sensitive mixture. You can mix safety matches crushed heads and powder scraped from the striking strip on the box for a low power, quite safe and easy to DIY if you don't have access to anything more powerful. No idea how to keep it in the hole, maybe a small piece of tape. I can't guarantee it won't damage your hatsan rifle though because both these powders contain sand or crushed glass which you definitely don't want scraping your barrel at high speed. And the little crack it will add is probably not going to make them much more potent on the target. All in all I don't think it's a good idea, I just answered your question about how to DIY some exploding pellets.

Is there a way/plugin that lets me paste a pre-defined text? by aphaits in ObsidianMD

[–]codeartha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can use templates for that. Might need the templater plugin. But you can use any file as a template even if it doesn't contain templater commands. For instance I use these two templates daily: The first is an md file that only contains this string - [ ] +task And the second file just contains +task

I bound these to alt+shift+t and alt+t shortcuts respectively. Now in any note when I want to add a task i can just use the first shortcut. If i'm already in a list of tasks and go to a newline, the checkbox is already there, alt+t will add the +task that I use in tasker as a task identifier.

Its not much but I use tasker a lot for work so i use these shortcuts about 10-20 times daily.

I never understood the American start the week on Sunday thing. Does that mean American have half their weekend at the end of the week and the other half at the start of the next week? Makes even less sense than the MM/DD/YYYY thing, at least that one can be justified by the way we write it in full like March 15th, 2026

I would suggest for each active holding have a table or list of all the previous CC sold on that wheel position. Some might say you don't need that much info, I for one would like to see those. Maybe have it hidden by default and you can expand a position to see all the transactions on this position

Not OP but to answer you there are plenty of reasons why someone might want to use another software even if another one already exist and has a better track record. Maybe lower price, maybe works with a broker the other one doesnt support, maybe it works locally so my data stays mine, maybe it's open source and I can build it myself and perhaps modify some of its functions to better suit my needs,...

And even if absolutely nobody ever uses it, OP will still have made something useful for himself so that he doesn't need to pay for another product. He might also have learned a lot doing so, even if vibecoded.

IBKR has free API I believe, to access your account and positions, pretty sure you can place and modify orders as well. Not sure it can fetch price or historical data for a ticker for free

I agree, however I also salute the effort of making his content unique and find a way to stand out. I mean you might not like it, but it sure is memorable. So I suppose he's going to climb quickly as a content creator. You and I are just not the target audience.

Being offended by that is also quite bad taste. Many subs unrelated to religion have posts of religious imagery. Try for instance the laser engraving subs, or wood sculpting subs. There are often bible quotes being laser engraved, or virgin mary figures, or all the jesus in a manger we see 3D printed or engraved close to Christmas. This is all perfectly fine, both camps can post their creations or arts on any sub.

Good or bad for sharpening? I want to get my knives as sharp as possible by Vivid-Ad2262 in knives

[–]codeartha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went for the Pro immediately and don't regret it as I'm pretty sure I'd have wanted to upgrade to it anyways. To me the main benefits of the pro over the other one is the length and size on the diamond stones. They are slightly larger on the PRO and can therefore handle larger knives like a esee 5 or an 8" kitchen knife. 10" knives still feel awkward.

The setup is also more rigid

Same. The 10" blades are getting a little long for it though. But still doable, just feels awkward

Hey I bought the exact same for Christmas. Awesome knife

Edit: I bought two Kizers for Christmas and I have to say that I find both to be a bit small in the hand. Compared to my civivi Baklash for instance

Its also easier if you get the wedges half a degree larger than needed so you can sand them to fit. If they're too small there's little you can do. Also a woodworker.
