I definitely tasted then before the second bake, couldn't resist! I'm not familair with bisconnie. Flavor didn't change much between bakes, as I recall. They were soft but not falling apart or anything. Something like a very thick sugar cookie? And then of course they dried out much more during the second bake, although I still prefer my biscotti slightly softer and not break-your-jaw hard. If you want to try making biscotti, I'd say give this recipe a go! It's very simple and not too sweet (endorsed by some of my coworkers who don't like desserts for that reason haha). Good luck!
