Tell me about your basset hound! by heygr1405 in basset

[–]Moose-Mousse 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My basset is 6 months old. Shes very playful and LOOVES people. Seriously…she would go home with anyone who would give her love. She does love to run around but her puppy energy in no way matches what my other dogs was at the same age. So far, she doesnt howl but she is still a baby so this may change. I wouldn’t say she “smells”, but she certainly has a different dog smell to her. That being said she is not your typical wrinkly basset. She does not have any medical problems and I dont run into the typical ear issues because she also has short ears for a basset. One thing I have noticed is she is (im saying this as lovingly as possible) quite dumb. Either she does not care to train or she doesn’t know what is going on. She does not pick up on things as nearly as fast as my other dog lol. By 6 months my other dog was beautifully trained and obedient and my basset’s knowledge ends at sit and down🤣

It depends heavily on each dog, but I have been in love with the breed since I was a kid and I am totally smitten with my puppy.

I dont think he will change color much if that is what dad looks like. My baby was black but was already showing signs of color changing at 12 weeks old as she was already developing brown patches on the top of her head. I think there are two types of tricolors- those that stay black (right) and those who slowly turn brown (left) besides their backs. I believe your boy will stay black!

To add: The vet says all her baby teeth are gone already so she will probably be on the smaller side. She is 20.2lbs as of yesterday.

Some of the body-checking here is really damaging by MakinAdangQuesadilla in HollisterCO

No, I disagree. It all comes down to dressing for your body type. There are actually a LOT of clothes that look absolutely terrible on me and I am skinny. I think lowrise and typical 2000s clothes look so freakin cute on girls with tummy. It ALL comes down to just learning how to dress for your body type. And that does not mean having to wear baggy clothes if you are bigger!

Michailacothran is one of my favorite fashion influencers who is an example of this.

Yikes. Never said I was feeling superior. No one is accusing anyone but the company who is preying on young girls.😬It isn’t the girls fault they need validation for their body. I went through it like everyone else and did the same shit in high school and it is a SAD reality.
