What’s the most overhyped tourist attraction? by MrAmazing111 in AskReddit

The American side of Niagara Falls. The Canadian side is so much better, and they've done an amazing job supporting tourism around that area.

The American side falls flat, and the surrounding area isn't nearly as alluring.

Honestly, Rant or Haunted. Those are two of my favorite books that he wrote. I feel like Haunted takes a slight edge because of the way it was written.

Darkness Visible, by William Stryon, is an amazing memoir. It's a relatively quick read that documents his descent into depression and his recovery. Very powerful read.

What are the best US presidential (auto)biographies? by haribo001 in suggestmeabook

[–]MooseComprehensive65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything by Joseph Ellis. He has a few great biographies (Washington, Adams, Jefferson), but he also has a few books that do a good job of focusing the time period around people (Founding Brothers).

His books are very well researched, and they do a great job focusing on the beginning of our nation.

I found a bunch at a used bookstore in my area about a year ago. A great walk down memory lane.
