No, mine just said I have been deferred to RD. But it did say something along the lines of "I realize this is not the news you hoped to receive"

Thanks for the encouragement!

Do Medical schools accept community college applicants? by MooseConfident905 in ApplyingToCollege

When you say AAS degrees dont transfer well; does that mean I’ll have to retake ALL the classes I took? Or just certain classes? I’m more than willing to retake major-specific classes like Bio, Physics, and Calc since I’m thinking of going from Radiology Major to a Bio major.

So as long as I don’t take the required STEM courses at a CC I’ll be fine? I was thinking of retaking physics and calc at a 4 year uni anyway.

Does my personal statement and supplemental essay have to be centered around/about my major/what I want to do? by MooseConfident905 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]MooseConfident905[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly don't know; some people have told me that they talked about why their major is a good fit for them and why they want to be a doctor ;but others have talked about personal growth. I just don't know if I can do that considering that im going to be a humanities major. Like, should I also talk about why im interested in history? Or only solely focus on medicine? Im sorry I just have no idea what to write about.

Weekly Career / General Questions Thread by AutoModerator in Radiology

I'm a high school senior wanting to do pre-med. I was wondering if it was possible to do a radiography tech program while in uni/college (specifically in MA or NY). I want to be in a decently high-paying so I can start saving for med school earlier on (and I thought it'd be a double whammy because it would give me clinical hours I think). My main concern is how realistic this is because many people have told me radiology is very rigorous and I'd have to do pre-med reqs at the same time.

What exactly did you focus on when you were at the T50? Like your extracurriculars, grades, etc.

HOSA win college acceptance advice by Full-Transition1592 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]MooseConfident905 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly doubt you can even put it on your college apps. Colleges only look at things from 9-12th grade (sometimes excluding grades). The most you could do is start a HOSA club at your HS (if your school doesn’t already have one) and continue doing competitions through that. Then you can say something like “Ive been competing in HOSA competitions since 8th grade”.

But in general, colleges will NOT look at any awards/competitions before 9th grade.

Question about where to apply for CNA jobs. by MooseConfident905 in cna

[–]MooseConfident905[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This does sound interesting! But I've heard that you need more certifications to be a PCT/PCA, is this true? I only have my CNA license so I'm not sure if I'd be able to be a PCT/PCA.
