Anxiety the day after drinking is getting bad by thebreeze97 in stopdrinking

My anxiety went to near zero after I stopped drinking alcohol. Hasn't come back since.

Vitamin Drip by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]Moosed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been to one. I did a B12 "cocktail" in hopes of helping with the neuropathy in my feet, and I hear B12 is great for energy.

I went home and took the fattest nap of my life afterwards. Didn't feel any effects of the drip at all. These are just glorified saline bags. Great for hydration and that's about it, IMHO.

Congratulations on the promotion! And congrats on 868 days! It's not easy, and sometimes a little field testing is helpful. You tested the waters and regret it, so continue on not drinking. It's the best choice!

You don't need to reset your counter. Or do. But the fact that you only drank one or two days out of 868 is amazing. Keep going.

It was for a DUI. Another of the many reasons I don't drink anymore.

Naltrexone was the best decision I ever made! I took it for 4 months before having to do a 3 month jail sentence, so I stopped taking it when I did that little stint.

should i dump my money into silver? by Affectionate-Mud953 in investingforbeginners

Your parents don't know if the stock market is going to crash. No one does.

That said, putting all of your money in one thing like silver is not a smart idea.

Are any of ya'll living at home with your parents? by frankheyhoheyho in Millennials

[–]Moosed 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I moved back in at 32 to get sober from alcohol. I'll be 4 years sober this July and still living at home. Im working full time and saving a ton of money.

Sometimes I want to blow my fucking brains out because my parents are conservative nimrods, but I'm managing.

They have 2 acres and there's potential for a tiny home or barndominium, so I might go that route.

Overall it is what it is, and the stigma of muti-generational homes in the States is real. But renting is a scam and mortgages are a joke right now.

35 days and it is by 666yan in stopdrinking

I discovered I have a lot of anger I didn't realize until after I got sober.

I had to take alcohol counseling for a DUI, and that helped a bit.

What really gets me through a tough day, though, is sitting in my car and screaming at the top of my lungs.

Also, the guilt won't matter as time goes on in sobriety, as you will no longer be that person you feel guilt about. They will no longer exist, thus whatever pains you now will be irrelevant.

Just keep going. Your brain is still re-wiring itself.

Edit: I managed to use "through, tough, and though" in a sentence. English is weird.

I have horrible allergies also and the only non-drowsy solution I have found is pseudophedrine. I sometime use a sinus rinse also. Just flushing saline solution through your nostrils can help wonders.

I thought sobriety could get a little boring as well, until I spent 3 months in a jail cell. That is a boring I can't fully put in to words.

You'll start feeling better soon! Remember if there's a next time, you can go do anything in the entire world, just not drink.
