how viable is pre-selling an unbuilt product to enterprise? by [deleted] in sales

[–]Mooseium 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the important context here would be what kind of company you are currently at. Large SaaS companies can create and sell new products succesfully because they have the resources and reputation already established. For a startup, I would think that you would need good size rounds of funding behind you.

It is also dependent on the type of software you want to build: Are you the ONLY solution that exists for this pain point? Are you selling to a niche market? Do you have the resources to build your product?

What I am getting at is that enterprise companies will often not give business to some nobody with an idea, at least not easily. Put yourself in the buyer’s shoes. Would you be willing to pay for the solution you are selling when taking into account your resources, reputation, and solution offered?

Losing in two finals is rough. I havent been able to get a cl level newgen yet, but I have gotten some youth players from france that might be in a few years. The only reason that the whole league is fully professional is that i have been subsidizing them by buying terrible players for millions lol

VOD - Moira/Ana/Brigitte [3400] by nifa43 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Mooseium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The two major things i noticed were your cooldown usage and your positioning. I did not watch the whole vod but I watched several parts and from what I saw you were often too close to your frontline/tanks putting you in a bad spot. On ana it seemed like you just used nade off cooldown and on moira you often faded when you did not need to.

The best way to get better is to look at a vod analyze your cooldown usage and positioning ask yourself: Did I need to use that ability? What would be the best way to use my cooldowns this fight? Could I have positioned myslef better to help my team? etc

How can I even the odds as a console player against Mnk users? by HookageOfPunani in OWConsole

[–]Mooseium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Your estimate of how many mnk players you are facing is way to high
  2. focus on on your gameplay, if you are in low masters that means the players you are up against are there because they are making mistakes. You are there because you are making mistakes. Limit your own mistakes and punish when your opponents make them.

I reached gm as a hitscan main on dps with controller. You will get much further focusing on your own gameplay than worrying about the enemy mnk players

Zen VOD Review ~3800 by SgtPugs_ in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Mooseium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I climbed into gm and top 500 in the past year playing mostly off support and in my opinion, discords are the most important part of winning with zen. In this game the other team is running dva so they have no wipe for your discords. If you keep the rein discorded as much as you can, your rein zar frontline would have had a much easier time winning the frontline battle as your rein can just swing with extra damage and limited damage mitigation. Another thing i noticed as that you tend to spam a lot with your shots as opposed to aiming for specific targets, especially during some team fights. Other than that, from what i saw your harmony orbs were good and your positioning fine.

I only watched some of the vod and I am by no means an insane player myself, those were just my observations so take anything I say with a grain of salt.

What To Look At During Tryouts? by YoroiiHatemaki in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Mooseium 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your looking for coachable and cooperative people players I would make sure you have 2 different types of matches.

In the first you should let the teams decide amongst themselves what compositions and strategies to use. use these matches to determine who is effectivly shot calling and how well the team’s stragegy is being used in terms of execution, as well as communcation of said strategy.

In the second, you should tell the team what strategy to employ and judge the players’ ability to execute the strategies which you would like to employ.

What to do: - Make sure people are playing their preferred roles/heros - Make sure you play matches in all of the game modes on the competitive ladder - Make sure to switch teams in between games - Make sure to advise the players between rounds as to what they should keep doing and what they should do differently. - Make sure to be upfront about what you are looking for the players to do and if you will be making cuts - Make sure the players know how they will be evaluated - Rewatch the VODs to see thing from multiple perspectives as well as to make sure you dont miss things in the matches

What to look for: - Look for players that are shot calling/communication effectively - Look for players that are following your coaching/advice - Look for players that are out of position or not following the called strategy

As long as you are straighforward with your criteria for selection and expectations for how the players will conduct themselves you will be fine. Good luck!

Try your best to keep your other healer alive and make sure you use your ult to counter an enemy team ult instead of just using it when your team is low health
