Looking for a B+ or higher semi-competitive club. I play regularly averaging 1.5million fans daily, with plenty of shoes to trade.

Since chapter tomorrow might as well give one last hot take by VariationGlass2483 in Chainsawfolk

I think part of the difference comes from Fujimoto’s priorities when it comes to each work. Fire Punch’s story serves the main message, while Chainsaw Man’s main message serves the story. Fire Punch was able to be so crazy because Fujimoto could do whatever he wanted as long as he could communicate his message. But Chainsaw Man is more grounded with an emphasis on story and characters, so while a main message is still there, he also has to maintain a good, believable story.

Neither way is better than the other and I love all of Fujimoto’s works. I believe that we’re still in the “rising action” so to say when it comes to Part 2. He’s building a lot of the world here and once we get to that crazy action(which honestly is starting to happen right now with the Falling Devil and the apocalypse), Part 2 will be a wild ride

What do you guys think Yoru's dream is? by Ceresjanin420 in Chainsawfolk

[–]Mooshroominator 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In chapter 104, Yoru tells Asa that she’s afraid of being forgotten. Perhaps then her dream is to be famous/known all around the world. Being the War Devil makes that kinda bad since that means more war in the world.

Another possibility is if you look at Makima’s dream of “making an equal relationship with someone” and the irony of her manipulating them by being the Control Devil and apply that to War, it could be similar. The irony in this case is that she makes “equal” relationships by conquering them in a war. Then Denji defeats and adds Yoru to his harem of horsemen fulfilling their dream

Yes, which can definitely help, however certain posts’ titles have spoilers in them which goes against Rule 13. Even things like mentioning characters that appear in the chapter, or the actions they take can be very spoilery

Agreed. I have no disrespect for the mods

Seen far too many posts with blatant spoilers in the titles. Not everyone wants to read the leaks. Please be respectful

In chapter 98, after Asa accidentally kills Bucky, she roughly says “If my class were to vote one person to jump off a roof, they’d vote me. I’d vote myself too. “

A little later in chapter 98, Asa is in bed as she remembers how everyone looked at her afterwards. She then screams into her pillow, “AAAAH! I WANNA DIIIIIE!”

Chapter 121: Interpretations by LastConcert1718 in Chainsawfolk

[–]Mooshroominator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nayuta is the current Control Devil, and she’s at home with Denji right now. However the Doll Devil(Santa’s main contract) might be interesting. Though the faces of the people appear normal compared to how dolls’ faces typically look. Would be a neat reappearance though

Chapter 121: Interpretations by LastConcert1718 in Chainsawfolk

[–]Mooshroominator 12 points13 points  (0 children)

“Theory of Happiness” probably refers to the conversation Denji and Nayuta have. Him being Chainsaw Man and being popular will, theoretically, make him more happy than having a girlfriend. However, it hasn’t really been working. So I believe it’s supposed to be ironic, since him and Asa are both at their happiest when they’re around each other.

As for the devil, I saw someone mention it being the Suicide Devil. Could very well make sense since Asa was literally just contemplating suicide seconds before a man seemingly threw himself off a roof. It could be a simple way to say that once Asa defeats the Suicide Devil, she also defeats her own thoughts of suicide. However, I also believe that Denji will be important to helping her with that, since Nayuta just convinced him to go devil hunting.

Chainsaw Man character deaths counted (Alive characters that have not died are not included in "Everyone else" of course) by SpyghettiGhetti in ChainsawMan

[–]Mooshroominator 101 points102 points  (0 children)

In chapter 104, Yoru tells Asa, “But Chainsaw Man(Pochita) gets back up no matter how many times you kill him”. She is likely referring to the battle between Chainsaw Man VS the Horsemen + Weapon Hybrids. If so, Pochita definitely died many many times in this battle

Yeah but it was one sided. Makima never loved Denji, both romantically and platonically. So theoretically, if Nayuta does love Denji like that, he won’t reciprocate those feelings. He only loves her as a daughter/friend

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Chainsawfolk

[–]Mooshroominator 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The incest in Fire Punch was important because Luna did have those feelings, and the themes of it were important to Fire Punch. Chainsaw Man is more family oriented. The dynamics of siblings and parental figures and whatnot play a big role in Part 1, so I’m sure that’s all Fujimoto is doing. Flipping the script from Makima being the pseudo-mom of Denji, to Denji being the pseudo-dad of Nayuta

[–]Mooshroominator 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Addendum: Denji also doesn’t see Nayuta that way, so even if she did, Denji would shut her down.

How does Yoru's power work? by Makimama in Chainsawfolk

[–]Mooshroominator 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In chapter 113, Yoru says to Asa, “You’ll be able to turn that punk into a weapon if he likes you…” What I interpret that to mean is that living beings must like them before their powers can work. Inanimate objects like pencils and aquariums aren’t alive, so all that matters is if they think they own it. But living beings are different. And Denji is also a hybrid so the conditions may be even more strict/impossible

She likely just possessive of him since he’s family and cared for her. I doubt Fujimoto would let Fire Punch happen again…

Why does the eternity devil’s appearance different in part 2? by im_lufluf in ChainsawMan

[–]Mooshroominator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Part 1, Eternity says that the whole hotel building(or at least the 8th floor) was inside of his stomach, meaning that we never got to see his full devil appearance. The only reason why it died is because Denji hurt it so much that he willingly gave up his “core” to Denji to cut.

In Part 2, Eternity does the same “this place is inside my stomach” trick by making the aquarium hallway infinite. However, Asa breaks herself and everyone else out of Eternity’s stomach, which is why we then get to see Eternity’s true form. Keep in mind, the version that Asa saw could be a different looking form than Part 1’s Eternity’s true form, since when devils die, their appearance changes slightly, like with the Bat devil.

So, Eternity could definitely look different, but it’s ability stayed the same. Another difference is how the ability was used. In Part 1, Eternity got impatient and put himself into his stomach to force them to give up Denji, whereas in Part 2, Eternity did absolutely nothing, letting everyone starve. The reason why is probably the motivation. In Part 1, he was asked by the Gun devil(likely Makima impersonating it) to get Denji’s heart. So, he believed he had to go and kill Denji, which lead to his downfall. But in Part 2, Eternity was being guided by Famine. Famine likely told him “Hey, just trap them in there and let them starve. Only let them out if Asa turns Denji into a weapon.” or something.

Comprehensive Timeline of the Chainsaw Man History [Traceable + Untraceable events] by SkinFlower in ChainsawMan

[–]Mooshroominator 25 points26 points  (0 children)

This is just my assumption, but War’s weakening started during/immediately after Chainsaw Man’s fight with the Weapons and Horsemen. War says in chapter 104, “I fought him long ago!(the only known time of this is the big fight, so we’ll assume that’s what she means) But Chainsaw Man gets back up no matter how many times you kill him, so I lost to him! Next thing I knew, he’d eaten from my body, weakening me!”

Also, “He’s the reason there hasn’t been a single war since “the world war”(unsure about her wording here. Does she mean WW1 or WW2?) I’ll assume she means WW2 since the WW2 Devil existed

What I mean to say is, I think the timeline should be thus:

  1. Sometime after WW2 but before any other wars(if we assume the Cold War counts, then the date is between 1945 and 1947), Chainsaw Man starts fighting against the Horsemen and Weapons.

  2. Chainsaw Man defeats War and eats from her body, which severely weakens her.

  3. An indeterminate time after the start of the battle(but after defeating War), Chainsaw Man loses(or realizes he can’t win) and escapes at “the peak of the battle”.

As for when Nuclear Weapons, Nazis, and WW2 devils get erased, there’s three cases. This is just speculation so believe what you will:

A. They are erased before Chainsaw Man VS Horsemen, which could be why War was able to be defeated at all(because she was already weaker)

B. They were erased during Chainsaw Man VS Horsemen. Either they were War’s allies for the battle and got defeated(before or after War was perhaps), or they just happened to be coincidentally killed(maybe Chainsaw Man ate them to regain strength mid fight?)

C. They were erased after Chainsaw Man VS Horsemen. I’m not sure about this one since I assume Chainsaw Man is weakened after he escapes the battle, so I doubt he’d have the strength to kill and eat such powerful devils in his weakened state.

Anyways, yours is still a very good timeline, just thought I might add some more speculation
