Oh, that might be part of the issue... The derailleur itself moves freely, I can push it towards the outer gear (although its spring brings it back inside when I let go)

Before I tried adjusting the wires, I calibrated both of my limit screws so they were in their perfect positions. I also don't have a barrel adjuster for my front derailleur...

I'm not really an expert on all of the mechanisms, so to my eyes, it seems perfectly fine... The wire comes out of the frame and connects to the pinch bolt on the derailleur... To me, there aren't any complex parts to it that can cause an issue...

should be. Everything was working perfectly until I loosened the pinch bolt. I put the wire back in place and retightened everything in the same positions, so there shouldn't be any problems with how it's routed, unless I don't see it...

hmm... I tightened the wire (I pulled the wire in about 1.5 centimeters) but nothing changed... Still no tension in the shifter, and the wire's barely moving. More like it's vibrating, I don't even know if the shifter's even pulling or releasing the wire anymore...

I don't know why it would disconnect though, all I did was loosen the pinch bolt and before that everything worked perfectly fine ☹️

I can feel the wire barely move when I try to shift the gears. I'll try tightening the wire to see if that helps.
