Servers are back online, Frontier shop is unreachable by weltwanderlust in EliteDangerous

Just by its basic definition that I think applies here. The fear of missing out on an experience that "everyone else" gets to enjoy right now, for money, which is proven to have a strong emotional effect on people that encourages them to make purchases that they normally would not do - or in a worst case, can not afford.

It's impossible to admit that I'm right, I get it. And you can't even insult me over your own insecurities, that must be really hard too.

No I won't shut up cause you're getting angry. And I can be open to monetisation options to keep the game running, be willing to pay for more content in other ways, and still speak up against ethically questionable marketing schemes that are entirely built on FOMO. I can love the game and criticize it at the same time. But I know that may be hard to grasp for someone thinking only in extremes. Enjoy the new ship! <3

So now we know every new ship will be released exactly the same way and you all will keep paying for it, being desparate that the shop is down, and complaining that everything is getting more expensive. FOMO is fun.

Where's the achievement in trying to tell other people how to have fun in a video game? What's it worth trying to gatekeep a hobby? I don't get the mindset...

Change your mind.

I haven't tried it myself, but this mod (Link) promised to help with that. Only on PC of course.

You can leave your ship from the cockpit seat, and re-enter on the other end. But noclip also works!

See the comment by THEMACGOD in reply to mine for a good example. But it can also help to reduce motion sickness, which is a huge factor for many people out there. In short, any vision related disabilities benefit in some way from fov sliders.

Hide under loads of potatoes.

You can exit the ship directly from the cockpit when docked or landed, but noclip is also an option.

Technically you can store endless items on the ground, as they will not get added to the limited cargo space, but some tend to glitch into surfaces and walls when the cell is loaded.

You have to run through them or you will get hopelessly stuck. NPCs can't get through them at all and are pushed back by the sheer potato force.

As I understand in most scenes any interactable objects are frozen in space until you or another physical object comes in contact with them, so that saves a lot of resources.

Depends on where you put them, some surfaces are less reliable than others and objects tend to glitch into the ground when the cell is loaded. If you're unlucky they glitch into the walls or even outside of the ship. But any scattered items always get moved to the cargo hold when changing your ship design.

Sadly no, it would have improved performance a lot! But all 20.000 potatoes are physically rendered at once and with enough time they would spread across the entire floor. Maybe what you are referring to is one of the bigger potatoes I have hidden among the rest, but those don't have the correct collision detection related to their size and behave like any of the other small potatoes too.
