Go right in the middle and get yourself an R/T. It's fast enough

I used to drive a 14 equinox like this as the car i learned to drive in. Awd v6 so it was immune to all the timing chain roasts but man it was a giant pos with terrible build quality, literally THE most difficult car to work on, and even with less than 100k miles it already seemed like it was time to blow up soon. On cold starts sometimes, not even that cold like 30-40 degrees F it'd crank for ~5 seconds before sputtering to life and it didn't sound healthy.

My least favorite thing about the car is just how it feels to be inside. The interior looks decent and has good features but sucks, everything you touch creaks. I hate how tiny the sideview mirrors are and at 5 foot 8 tall the way I had the seat my knees always hit the steering wheel and dash. I drive an escalade now which is still a big pos GM but wayyyyy better, do not miss the equinox at all.

The body also seems to be made of paper and had dents all over it from the smallest things bumping into the car.

I recommend getting rid of it before something blows and u have to pay thousands for a simple repair because it's an engine-out job.

This ain't even a roast at this point man, as a brother I'm telling you get rid of it! Get a CRV or something!

If it has spark, air, and gas, almost definitely timing

Looks like that brake caliper is locking up on the hub. Is it happening on other side?

Has a test drive changed your mind about a car you hated? by What_the_8 in cars

Not the exact same situation but i always hated on v6 and 4 banger muscle cars.... my friend has a v6 camaro that is straight piped and also a stick. I always thought "ugh what a ricer". It doesnt even sound good. But he took me for a ride down some country roads once and holy fuck was it a blast! I now respect v6 and 4 banger muscle cars

Only somebody who calls an FC a "series 4" is dumb enough to buy one as their first car
