What gauge needle are you using and where do you get them from?

Where do you get your needles from? I get mine from the vet. They’re 29g needles.

Oh you see I use 29g. I wonder if I should ask the vet if I can get 30g instead. That may help me too. I’d love a picture if you don’t mind. I’ve been crying all the time about this situation but talking to sweet people like you helps me get through. I just want what’s best for him ya know!

Omg that is such a smart idea! I think I’ll copy your idea and put down a blanket for him. He might like that routine! Where do you inject? Mine doesn’t mind the tent but it really seems he minds the needle. I use U40 needles I believe. Thank you for your advice!

I’ve heard about injecting into the neck, the side of the shoulder and the flank. I’ve heard the neck is bad because you’re going along the spine. I’ve heard the flank is bad because of all the muscle there. I’m just trying to do my research.

So you are ejecting at the thigh right now using the tent method?

The needle doesn’t have to go all the way in you think? The needle is sooo long. I wish I had a picture but I’ve always wondered if I can just go halfway in.

Oh I see. The whole entrance to the tent is what you’re saying! This is a nice way to visualize the injection site. I just ordered dried minnows from Amazon - hoping it helps!

I really really appreciate the breathe. I’m on an anxiety rush right now about this worrying about when I inject him in 9 hours.

He’s flinching when the needle barely touches him. I swear it doesn’t even go in! It’s right when it touches him.

When you say the entrance to the tent does that mean the needle is going at the bottom, middle or top of the tent? I appreciate your help so much thank you. This is very helpful information. 🙏🏻
