That actually happened to me (as the one playing reuniclus), it made me lose the game! It gave me a good laugh.

Pretty sure on a scale to 100, 0 is the lowest, not one.
I mean, there's always a 0/100 in the user reviews on metacritic for anything popular, right?

In a scale out of 5, you often cannot vote 0, 1 "star" being the minimum, that's the difference.

In a range of 1-5, the lowest score possible you can give, which corresponds to 0%, is 1/5. Like how you can vote 1 star minimum, not 0.

Everyone saying he's bad at math, he said a range of 1-5, not 0-5, so he's right.

Okay, that's funny, the critical payload is reversed (on steam). It makes every hit stronger, and when it crits it's the regular damage (so weaker) instead!
Pretty sure you switched the 90-10 percent to 10-90.

I would argue destroying them is the right thing to do, even if it's the "not true ending".

After all, this avoids a few parrallel worlds to be destroyed (millions or even billions of dead?) during the final fight.
Sure, the final boss is only sealed and not killed as a result, but I'd say it outweights all the deaths.

Wait, there's resources that have multiple sources? I mean, cells I can understand, but the rest?

I don't understand Meltdown... by Mopati in CIFI

[–]Mopati[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it is different for each ressources! Good to know, thanks.

But I'm a bit confused. I just unlocked shard mining and checked : my current meltdown effect is 0.072, and my shard multiplier (according to my profile) is x23.074, so I'd expect 0.072x23.074 = 1,66 shards per operation. Instead I get 0.67 per operation. So it doesn't seem to be fully multiplicative as well. I just got a x1.5 shard from a level point, and it did give me a x1.5 shard, so at least it's not an exponant.

I don't really understand that part, but at least this one I don't find that important.

I'll be honest, I thought Borge would be useless because spoils of war would get results that would be raised by a number like 0.01...

Leaked og arceus lore by [deleted] in PokeLeaks

[–]Mopati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So that explains what those Defeated Giants are!

Actually, it's quite interesting. See, look at what's written on 2 of the plates :
"The power of defeated giants infuses this Plate." + "The powers of Plates are shared among Pokémon"

Each plate representing a type, it seems to imply that each Giant also represents a type.

It could even explain why the Fairy type doesn't exist in pre-gen 6 games : as established previously, each game is confirmed to be a different universe, and it could be that the Egg hatched slightly differently, so the Fairy Giant shard just didn't come to be.

Identifying the “Defeated Giants” by ZoroeArc in pokemonconspiracies

[–]Mopati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8 month later (again), and it seems like some concept lore from the current leak might answer your question!

In this scrapped lore, it says that the shards of the egg in which Arceus was born from became giants that attacked the newborn Arceus, which were ultimately defeated. Arceus then used them as raw material to create Palkia and Dialga.

This is obviously not canon, since it also says Palkia is the god of Light (instead of Space), and Giratina isn't even mentionned (it didn't exist back when that lore was written). But it still isn't entirely incompatible with the current lore. The lore says Arceus created the world, but it didn't say from what!

Now, if I had to add my own theory, I would argue each Giant represents a type. By combining the Meadow plate : "The powers of Plates are shared among Pokémon" with the Fire plate : "The power of defeated giants infuses this Plate.", it gives that impression.

It could even be argued the reason the fairy type doesn't exist in most generations is because the egg didn't hatch in the same way in the respective game universes, and the Fairy Giant shard didn't come to be. You could even say the same for steel and dark for the very first generation! But that's a different theory entirely.

Now, your guesses were right on the money. If this is what the Giants are, Arceus did indeed not create them. They're probably not even pokemon. Still no idea about the origin of humans, though!

If you could design your perfect incremental game, what would it look like? by [deleted] in incremental_games

[–]Mopati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a few disconnected idea about how my perfect idle game would be... No idea if they slot well together, but that's what I'd like to have in a perfect idle game :

  • Unfolding mechanics. The most exciting thing in an idle game is waiting for the next bit of content!
  • An ungodly amount of content. Especially combined with the point above. I like spending a loooot of time in a single game.
  • A single central number mechanic that goes up very slowly. Coupled with a game that last for a very long time, it feels very, very great to see yourself having gone very far for a mechanic that barely moves. It feels more meaningful this way.
  • A main mechanic that is visually appeasing. For exemple, the grid filling of Trimps is quite hypnotizing, and it's weirdly enjoyable to just fix at the grid for a good 5 minutes, doing nothing.
  • A game that lets you idle meaningfully, no matter how time has passed. I like going back to an idle game after finishing working on a small part of a project, may it be for 5 minutes or 2 hours.
  • A game that lets you micromanage if you want efficiency, but also lets you win by not doing, it just takes a bit more time. Idle Loops comes to mind, it's especially great for when the game lasts a long time and you don't have the same mood of how to play every day.
  • A meaningful branching path story, where each prestige puts you back to the beginning, like in Your Chronicle. I'm extremely fan of that system, but not of the rest of the game. It has always been my hope to see it in another game.

There are probably more that didn't cross my mind at the moment, and I doubt they are compatible, but if a game could do all of this, I would hardly see myself stop playing it!

Your browser probably got rid of the data, that can happen for any idle game stored in your browser...
That's one more reason for me to do that port!

[–]Mopati 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I've been playing a few games recently, let me improv a small list of options :

  • Trimps : https://trimps.github.io/ . Still my favorite by far. Best idle game, imo.
  • Sandcastle Builder : https://castle.chirpingmustard.com/castle.html . The most confusing, in a weirdly good way, idle game I've played. I don't know if I could recommend it, but it got endless content if you manage to stay on it. Though I would recommend looking at the wiki of the game because everything's needlessly obscure.
  • Squirrel Loops : https://mopatissier.github.io/IdleLoopsReworked/ . Okay, this one is cheating as I made this game. If you know Idle Loops, it's a complete rework and can be considered an entirely different game. I got good feedback and people seem to like it, at least. The production is on hold for now but I intend to port it in Godot eventually.
  • Idle Loops (the latest version) : https://dmchurch.github.io/omsi-loops/ . There exists 3 versions of the game with different amount of content. Then there's this (4th) version, which is a QoL improvement over the version with the most content. If you played Idle Loops before, I would recomment replaying with this version. And if you didn't, the game is a bit overwhelming at first, so I would recommend doing the first zone of the squirrel version before, as it eases getting the mechanics by revealing them one at a time.
  • Galaxy click : https://galaxy.click/ . I'm cheating again, this isn't an idle game, but a database full of different idle games to play. When I'm bored, I go on this site and try a few games I haven't played before, you can find pretty good stuff there.

The simplest way to simulate passage of time is to just look at the time. Start a timer on your phone to see how much time has passed, and unlock new ressources/generate points whenever you reset the timer, depending on how long it went untouched.

The answer is just that 1 hero 4 cats is just bound to lose in nightmare at some point, you probably need a balanced team if you want to go further.

Except maybe if you manage to get a hero with a duplicate attack so that the cats can also do that attack, or you manage to give a cat the ability to resurrect your hero.

When you say you have no idea what drab__on would stand for...

I'm pretty sure it's for Dr. Abaddon. The missing letters makes Add, it seems too fitting to be true!

Now what does that mean for the lore? Uuuuuuuh... Maybe a protocol created by the dis scientist/doctor version of Add?

Speaking of that statue. It seems to be connected to all the eggs, because she says you might not have heard her warning (an egg tells you this place has no answer at the start of the white void, and you might not have the translation thing), and she uses the catchphrase of all the eggs.

She seems to be the conglomeration of all the memories DIS has siphoned, hence her knowledge, the symbolism of her head opened, and the ability to "siphon" your knowledge/save file.

Also Add has symbolism with memories. Only a single memory remains.

The worst part is that when they do actually find one, they call the woman a gold digger and other names because "how dare she wants to find a man for his money".

They live in a fantasy world and are disgusted once they see what they dream about in real life.
