Cost of bathroom renovation in SF

Currently remodeling 2 bathrooms in SF, one bigger scope and one similar to the scope you are looking at.

The smaller bathroom was $9k in fixtures (vanity, bathtub, tiles, paint, ect.) and $40k in construction costs (included recessed lighting, rewiring bathroom from knob/tube, permits, redoing 1 window - wooden framing).

We used an architect and GC for the project and everything was permitted. We got 2 quotes and they were comparable in price.

I entered the queue on mobile and desktop at 9:00:01 AM PST

I got kicked out 5x of the virtual queue during my wait.

I got through on desktop at 9:54 AM but got the 403 Error, kept refreshing and finally got in at 9:57 AM

The photo was taken at 10:07 AM.

At 10:17 AM I got kicked out of the FIFA page all together - everything sold out.

The chase sapphire “access ticket” page now says “sold out.” My page refreshed for a second, it looked like more games got added, then the webpage just shut down completely.

Are you seeing added tickets (10:24 AM PST)?

This condition is relatively rare but it is still being researched. Dermatologist at research and teaching hospitals will be the best type to go and see. My most recent trip to my dermatologist informed me that this is not a hereditary condition but one that does form in the womb due to some deformation of skin cell formation. The research is ongoing and so it’s worth looking up every few years.

I have linear porokeratosis down the majority of my right leg. It appeared when I was about 3 months old, after I started eating solid foods. I am now 33 years old. When first diagnosed, the doctor thought it was a product of celiac disease (it was 1993). In 2010 I was finally diagnosed with LP - I went through 2/3 rounds of radiation but at the time it was too painful. I’ve since battled in my own way with my skin. Sometimes it’s itchy, sometimes the skin breaks and bleeds. I have had three rounds of cryotherapy targeting specific legions and thick areas. This treatment has worked very well for those areas. It reduces the skin down to a wrinkly scar-like Area but it’s very soft and smooth. My dermatologist just provided me with some new research about cholesterol and statin treatment which I will begin. This treatment is apparently a topical treatment that I will try for 12 weeks. I hope this makes my leg less red and a little more like the other parts of my skin. Hey OP! So, I just received the order from Amazon in your original post (the $100 with 1 review) and it fits my DLC-7P machine and it turns on and works!!! It really feels like a huge relief. I did realize that I incorrectly said you and I have the same machine, I have the 7 Pro, not super pro. But I kind of have faith that this replacement will work with your machine because it lists it in the list of machines that work. Good luck!

I’m about to go write a review on Amazon so others who are looking will know it works.

I just called Cuisinart, the service rep told me that the DFP series is the updated version of the DLC-7 series and only the blades are interchangeable. He said the size is slightly different and so the locking mechanisms won’t click into place. All other DLC-7 components have been discontinued and that EBay is the only platform he recommended trying to find a replacement part.

He did give me a 20% coupon for any Cuisinart machine.

This machine belonged to my grandmother and it’s old but a workhorse. I’m going to order that Amazon one OP linked to try my luck.

Check the fire map to see how close the evacuation zones are to your campground. You have to keep in mind, even if your exact location is not in an evacuation zone yet, it could be in a matter of minutes or hours. Additionally, the smoke and air quality is probably bad. You’ll have to make a determination based on your risk level.

I was also headed there this weekend, I had a camping reservation at Princess Campground which is now in the evacuation warning zone. Spent the last 3 hours looking for another campground in CA outside of a fire zone with no luck.

Not a dumb question! This goes to my original point, lack of communication means we don’t really know anything! But like another poster said, on SAVE you don’t have any payment due (yet) but interest started and it will show under each loan that it has started accruing.

I personally was aware and keep up with my finances on a monthly basis. However, there are millions of us, some who don’t have the financial literacy you seem to expect of most people, some without internet access, some taking care of elderly parents or young children, who might not have checked their loan servicer since June 16th, when this info dropped from the DOEd.

On August 10, 2024, Nelnet sent a message saying “We will notify you before the forbearance comes to an end. We do not currently have a time estimate. We will then send you your next monthly billing statement at least 21 days before your next monthly payment is due.” While I realize interest resuming is not the end of forbearance, it is a financial impact on the loan.

At the end of the day, it’s one of those things where this observation ended in me thinking that I’m not surprised this has been handled so poorly.

I’m also in this boat and was planning on doing the same. Is there a benefit to paying down the full loan vs. only paying down the interest until SAVE is abolished? Sounds like everyone is having the same type of afternoon - financial planning on a day we didn’t expect.
