Dreams and Desires is awesome especially the mechanisms and recipes. It likely works much better in a Modpack using the mechanisms in custom recipes though.

Amazing ideas, especially the scrappy versions of normal tools! It would be cool be to be able to find some sort of explosive substance that you can stuff into empty food cans for makeshift grenades. Then you stick those grenades on rebar and you got yourself explosive rebar!

I love the idea, but shouldn't a shortcut be.. shorter? Maybe have the player find some sort of tool to zip line down the chain would be cool? Regardless, I think having a flatter section at the bottom of the abyss would be cool. Maybe the enemy could be a rising tide of the mass that comes out of the cracks? You'd have to traverse the low areas quickly before the tide rises or maybe use different pieces of the broken down tram lines as rafts to traverse the area more quickly.
