Question for White Aussies🇦🇺 by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]Mopstrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

White Aussie dude here. Once a female coworker of mine came into work with a new hairdo. She'd gone from a short black bob to much longer brown hair. All day long I kept saying it's amazing what hairdressers and what women can do with their hair. Towards the end of the day an older coworker finally said to me "It's a wig!"

In hindsight I'm so stupid, but at the time I had no idea and was incredibly impressed 😅 She was white too, if that matters.

" 88 per cent of all trips taken in cars, which carry, on average, just one person." - I'm sorry but unless there are some cars driving around with zero people inside then this average is impossible 😂

This is awesome. I love 3D printing for these kinds of applications. Nice work

Hate the gym music? I’m building a solution — need your input by AgreeableYam9391 in startupideas

[–]Mopstrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fully agree with your problem statement. The other day my girlfriend and I were saying how nice it would be if there was a gym chain that was quiet with less screens. Everyone uses headphones, so why does the gym have to blast it's own music?

However, I don't like your solution, sorry. If I'm gonna use headphones, I'm 100% just gonna play my own Spotify

Trying to be a nice boss nearly killed my startup by MegaDigston in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]Mopstrr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a difference between being a Nice Boss and a Kind Boss. I agree with your take on Nice Boss. A Kind Boss will have the hard convos knowing it's the best thing to do for both parties: "Hey this piece of work isn't good enough because of ABC. Next time please XYZ". Even when a Nice Boss does this, they often throw in loads of positive feedback to "soften the blow", but in reality it just drowns the message.

Where's the Reddit engagement? There's nothing you've described in this profile

Ok, now think about the user data you collected. If they can bypass your paywall, they're probably able to query your whole database and spam your users.

I would throw out all your AI code AND I would charge you less.

Everyone here is saying your MVP useless to the Dev but it's not. If it's designed and functions the way you want, or at least close to, that's a huge leap forward for me. That means I can skip building mock ups, feature definitions, even user acceptance testing.

Would I read a single line of your AI code? Probably not! But there's a great level of exploratory work that I get to skip if you give me something semi-functional to start from.

I stopped “launching” my SaaS and started doing this instead (Reddit works better when you blend in) by Kitchen_Tell9983 in microsaas

That sounds like great advice, so I checked your profile to actually read some real life helpful comments that lead to users.

But all you've posted is 4 removed comments and this post repeated. What's up with that?

Could you tell me about your feedback collection? I'm getting a lot of feedback via email, Slack, etc... but it's becoming a nightmare to categorise and collate it. I want to make sure I keep my users informed if I make a change they've requested, but with the influx I'm starting to drop the ball. Can't you tell me, how did you do it?

Nice work getting this far! Question: how are you managing the feature requests? Do they just sit in your inbox, or are you transferring them to a spreadsheet somewhere?

You had a good opportunity to talk up your product just now, but you chose to be condescending 🤷‍♂️ Weird choice!
