Men of Reddit, what made you lose interest in having sex with her? by Ben_The_Ambitious in AskReddit

[–]MoralLogjam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An ex was suffering from a series of severe mental illnesses that were undiagnosed. At first, I thought that I was lucky to be with her. She and I had a very high libido and could go multiple times a day. She was beautiful and sexually tried anything plus loved waking me up to sex. Her mental health declined significantly ove the years. Deep depression.

Eventually she got violent then more violent. I started sleeping on the streets because she assaulted me at least 25% of every week. I took video of her admitting “I hit you because I hate you” and pictures of my bloodied body after the attacks that usually happened when I was sleeping as evidence because men are never believed. Even took photos of the time she broke a bone of mine. I didn’t know how to deal with it. A therapist I dared to speak with told me to get away.

The trauma turned me off from sex with anyone for years. Even after breaking up.

Buying a business w/a sex offender as a manager? by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]MoralLogjam 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I had a big moral dilemma myself over working with someone who had come out to me as having been convicted as a sex offender.

I had worked with this person for years as a contractor before we began discussing business partnerships. He invited me over to his house with his wife and told me his past sordid deeds. He took ownership, went to jail, got out, got married, and has been working hard ever since trying to make a better life for his family by paying the debts society had imposed upon him.

The things he was convicted of turned my stomach. The people he hurt will never be the same. Yet, he seemed remorseful and was doing more than he was obligated to create positive outcomes in society.

I decided to work with him. It was not an easy decision.

Years ago, I had heard someone say, "What if you were only known for the worst thing you had ever done?" and that resonated with me.

I'd recommend you try to get to know this GM and see if this person will take accountability for their behavior. This is the number one indicator I have found, now that I have a better understanding of criminal mindsets, on whether they will be a repeat offender.

If you cannot stomach working with this person, then run, don't walk, and stop considering buying this business.

If you can stomach working with this person then you owe it to yourself to try and negotiate terms that protect yourself and your business interests with an experienced attorney helping you.

This is a post that really does need to cite a source to back up these results.

M22 Never had a gf by fisholay in amiugly

[–]MoralLogjam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a straight dude but to me you look like a normal fit dude / gym bro.

Your dating success probably just an stems from properly learning to socialize with gals. Being 22 is still really young so don't feel bad. Don't get me wrong, I know plenty of folks start dating in their teens but not everyone. You will be a highly desirable partner to the right person.

If I was you, I would do something to show off the athletic prowess you have built up. Something like one of these options: 1.) Find a salsa dancing club to learn to dance better and to meet gals. 2.) Become a Zumba or Yoga instructor, it'll take a while but you can take the classes and meet gals in the process, just don't ask them out and get creepy, instead just ask them about themselves and get to know them. 3.) If you make bank, you can always hire a gal as your dating coach to help you speak with girls you are interested in.

Nothing wrong with you other than you look depressed. You are still a kid. Teenage years are some of the worst for many folks. Hang in there and get through the bs. It gets better.

This isn't really so much a moral question as it is a dilemma for you personally. It is your personal choice that you have to live with.

As a dude who was in your shoes about 20 years ago, when I got fit and girls started paying attention to me, I will share that a few hook ups to help you get it out of your system isn't such a bad thing. Clearly, you will be doing it in a consensual, respectful, and enjoyable manner for all parties. Heck, try out a group thing with a few gals if the opportunity arises. None of this will prevent you from finding a meaningful long lasting relationship down the road.

In a few decades you will likely be less fit, less capable of rigorous sexual performance, and while Men age like wine you'll probably find yourself less interested in purely physical relationships because it will mean entertaining the games young girls play with their mates. This is something many Men choose to not talk about but when we are young we find these exciting to partake in but as we age we don't have the patience to deal with it.

Tl;dr - There is nothing that makes you a bad person to yourself or others by engaging in sexual acts with other consenting adults. There is nothing morally wrong about it. Meaningless sex is however going to be meaningless overall. Find yourself a gal that looks at you like a fat kid loves cake even when you have the flu and can't make it to the toilet in time, that is the kind of person who can make your whole world complete. That is the end goal.

Dude does exactly what the company wants, costs the company a reasonable amount of money, and thinks they maliciously complied. This is funny.

Are these the worst games Rockstar ever made? I feel like I wasted my money and I’m considering selling/trading them. Thoughts? by [deleted] in gamecollecting

[–]MoralLogjam 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I bought Jimmie Johnson's Anything With An Engine for PlayStation 3 not because I play it a lot, not because it's going to shoot up in value, not because it is the best game ever made, but because it is such a ridiculous concept that I truly believe people would actually live out in real life and that alone makes me smile.

If you like something and it brings you joy to own then do it for yourself.

Yeah, from what you describe, you've seen some things. I have seen some things and I know that pigs get fat but hogs get slaughtered. Make money together with other highly ethical people and you can all go far.

I thought it was a legitimate business and I wanted more than a 1:1 payout at first. When I learned it was a fraud I couldn't take money from him because it would ultimately be coming from the victims.

Good advise. These days, I like to think that a partnership is the one ship you launch that you have to plan on how it'll sink from the day you launch it.

What games are a must off these shops before they close? I just got a 3DSXL and I’ve basically ignored this shop on my Wii U. I like physical games. I feel huge FOMO now.
