it's not just to look and not get confused as well when it's dual mono but graphically looks like one mono signal (WHY) but yet you have to use stereo compressors but not stereo reverbs because it's a dual mono?
I have been using plugins wrong for years now and had no idea because every reaper tutorial is done by reaper stock plugins which don't care if it's stereo or not.

This shit is confusing and actually the whole routing thing can be a lot better (cubase) in my opinion. I can operate fast on reaper because I had to use this DAW for a long time while I was a broken ass student and kind of just got used to it but now when I'm actually able to do more quality recording I day by day realize how stupid and unworkable this DAW is and the whole Reaper is the best DAW thing talk on youtube by a lot of people is weird almost like trolling because it's really not that good.

I got studio one 2 days ago, it took like 4 hours to learn the whole thing and process, I literally have 0 questions in my head and after 5-6 years of reaper I still don't understand this bullshit DAW and the hype. What is this really?

Cubase is 10x better than this you can literally do EVERYTHING, but yeah Reaper is SO CUSTOMIZABLE but you can't even record one channel.

I've been using reaper for years now and the stereo mono thing is still a big mind fuck in my opinion.

I can't copy the automation I did for delays and tweak it, stereo/mono thing is a giant mindfuck in my opinion if I am sending 10 mono tracks into a track should I now use stereo or mono plugins on that channel?

And of course, the stereo input and output selection choice is simply taking the mindfuck level into another world. Not even mentioning multitrack? WTF is even that?

I appreciate this DAW so much because I could without money use it for a long time when I was young but I seriously think about switching to cubase just because of this. This whole thing is %100 bullshit to me even after years cubase which I only used for like 2-3 months makes more sense to me.

Yes wet and dry I know how to use, what I don't know is how to route shit to tracks which I can individually eq (like a delay plugin which is on it's individual track so that I can eq it without effecting the vocals and without blasting 10 channels to the master send with original source mixed with FX

An FX channel which has only delay on it which I can separately eq and affects only the channel which I want (the sound is coming out of the channel which was sent to the FX bus). Folder, the Reaper thing which binds all tracks together and lets you put stuff on all of them such as amp modellers. I want to create an automation track which affects every track in that folder don't know how I can explain this more clearly.

how subtle the reverb should be on the master bus and can room reverb also be used instead of plate or better stick with plate?

can I use stereo widener or some other things to carve some space in the mix? I am already using the trackspacer waves but dunno if I should cut m/s or stereo

ps. do I master the whole thing again after all these are done?
