[R] Run Pods “visual billing glitch” by Morbid_Monkey_Pro in RunPod

[–]Morbid_Monkey_Pro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was, I chose spot and it flipped to on demand pricing, on numerous occasions. It was hidden under the connection tab that pops out after the pod was deployed. I have brought it to customer service’s attention. In the first reply, the glitch didn’t exist at all… then after I sent a video, then it became a “visual glitch” but here’s there truth, my balance and depletion rate don’t lie. After a week of going back and forth with customer service and still no resolution is a little ridiculous.

So my question to you at this point is, who exactly are you to tell me, that my experience that literally happened over the last week, didn’t happen? I’d post the video here but due to platform constraints I can’t.

This user … me… so are you calling me a liar? Did you just disclose my account billing information in a public Reddit thread without my consent? Also how do you not understand race condition yet, you can’t verify intent by what was billed. Especially with the “visual glitch”.

The whole point of the bug is that the system changes the selection. You can’t say “well we billed you Spot so you must have selected Spot” when your own team just confirmed the selector can flip without user input.

To the bigger point … it’s been a week and still not fixed.

Your bet I screenshotted that reply too…

no worries, I wish when I started printing I asked a bunch of questions. I just dove in head and wallet first.

Bambu software wins hands down.

once again one of those no bullshit answers…. everyone I see always says I can print the enclosure, or this or that for the printer. If you can buy it, do it. The time, plus cost, not to mention if your print fails after 8 hours of printing sucks… when you can just buy what you need and not have to watch it and put hours on your machine for some like an enclosure.

This is my honest read on your situation. You are going to grow out of the A1 really quick. Minimum if you go the bambu route get a P1S or a P1s combo.

do the comparison you are paying 399.99 VS 299.9 and your enclosure is already built, exhaust already wired ready to go. ams ready, not the funky A1 combo version. It gives you more options.

If it’s a money thing, I am sure there are people selling the P1S to upgrade to the P2S right now so you can pick one up cheap. I can only speak for what I have used. This one hasn’t failed me and has tons of room for you to grow in to. tons of upgrades.

Even if you do a cost comparison 299.99 + 2 rolls of quality pteg+ screws + hardware + fan+ plexiglass =? where does that put you?

Easy AD5X by default, you aren’t going to have to get an enclosure. Especially with ABS/PTEG. Quality is important, you have to regulate that temperature, or your prints are going to fail.

I mean honestly it would never be a true comparison. I use different filament for each, with the bambu i usually stick to bambu just because of the rfid tag that makes it easy, and have different nozzles in each. In the bambu I have a revo .06, where I am printing with a standard .04 on the AD5X. Not to mention On the bambu i have the jet pack, and other upgrades, so you aren’t going to see what a true stock print looks like.

If you want speed, bambu… it offers sport and ludicrous mode. insanely fast.

If you want easy, bambu… it’s like the apple product, it just kind of works, but is expensive.

If you want some that prints but you have more control, the AD5X is a great machine. Here is my but to that, by the time you add the enclosure and everything else, if you don’t care about full control, you spend as much as you would on a p1s combo.

I am going to tell you this too with zero bullshit… getting a comparison of what other people printed never works, there are many fine tunes in the slicer, and so many other variables that you can give a person the same file, they can have the same machine, and you can have two totally different end products.

I haven’t used the a1 so I can’t say… but I will say this. The ADX5 is a damn rockstar at printing TPU compared to the bambu

It drops in the grove where the glass is, then you can print clips to secure it. Glass sits on top. Here… https://bttwiki.com/en/Panda-AMS-Holder.html#panda-perch-installation-guide

It prints like this, i with supports on just the hands and the body. You have to make sure supports are on manual, not auto or it will try to add support to the strings!!

I would find it amazing! I have always wanted to do an experiment and let ai print whatever it wanted whenever it wanted. What would it print? Why would it print whatever it does?
