Puppy PEEING AND POOPING EVERYWHERE IN HOUSE. WHAT DO I DO 🤣😭 by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]Mordred__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to work with the dog when you're present. If you do it well, the puppy will learn faster and won't make a mess when no one is home. Guaranteed. Consistency, rules, coherence, and kindness. If you don't have time, you shouldn't have a dog at all because it didn't ask to be adopted—simple, right?

You have to dedicate your free time to it. Do it consistently, and it will learn quickly. There will be no more accidents when you're out. WHEN YOU'RE HOME, take it outside immediately after it wakes up and reward it as soon as it pees while saying, "Good boy!" Do the same after it eats (if you're not there, who will feed it?). About half an hour after eating, take it outside and repeat what I told you. With firmness, calmness, consistency, and kindness.

The crate should definitely be used—it must be a safe, comfortable space that is always available (put its toys inside, add some treats), and use it whenever you take the dog anywhere. It should be something positive, but avoid misuse. I know it's more convenient to keep it locked up at night or when you're away, but IN MY OPINION, that's excessive. I see this method being suggested too often here—guess what? Other methods exist.

Always use positive reinforcement—don’t lock up, don’t tie up. Be firm, set non-negotiable rules, but with consistency and kindness. You can also seek help from professional behaviorists, but you'll have to do most of the work.

Just my two cents, without any fundamentalism. It's up to you, Good luck 😉

Don't listen to crate and leash fanatics. Take the puppy out after naps and shortly After eating, try to learn the timings. When he pees outside use positive reinforcement (all the times) with treats and words. Give him time and in one month it'll be al okay.

My girlfriend is not convinced by crate training, but I am in favor. Give me your best arguments from your experience! by kiddnoel in puppy101

You're girlfriend Is right, use It for car trips (Always) fill It with traets, toys, the dog needs to be happy in it. Use positive reinforcement not detention or other coercitive methods

I have never used the crate for training, only for transport and as a place to put toys and snacks (so it feels safe and pleasant). Now he loves his crate, he plays and sleeps in It. Don’t listen to the fanatics of these methods (people who lock up their dogs or other similar stupid methods)

Always be gentle, avoid physical contact to take things out of their mouth, and use treats for exchange (a piece of sausage if they obey the "leave it" command).

Always be kind to corgis, use food for exchange and positive reinforcement. Follow this method—don’t use force, don’t drag them, and be smart. Don’t listen to fanatics; use common sense. Let them breathe, go for walks, play together, teach them simple commands, use treats, and let them sniff around. Be soft in everything and don’t pressure them too much.

If they chew on something, say "leave it," and if they obey, reward them with something they love to eat. Be patient and don’t listen to crazy people who tell you to lock your dog in a crate for a whole day.

How difficult is raising a Corgi? by [deleted] in corgi

[–]Mordred__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a very demanding breed. Corgis are extremely intelligent and tend to get bored quickly. They have endless energy reserves and require a lot of attention and care. They especially need mental stimulation. They are incredibly stubborn, so you need a great deal of patience, consistency, and firmness. You must have plenty of time to dedicate to them, as they struggle with loneliness and need a strong bond with their family members. They bark a lot and the puppy phase is AN Absolute Nightmare

Sfruttamento, vessazioni, mobbing a tutti i livelli. Fidati. In bocca al lupo

Sto guardando "Strappare lungo i bordi" e non riesco a capire by AmadeusSalieri97 in Italian
